Bioware has released a new trailer showing off two teams fight for dominance inside the gauntlet-like pit in this glimpse of PvP gameplay. Click to see the Huttball, one of the Player-vs-Player (PvP) Warzones in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
I wonder if there is actual Roll-playing. What's the point of being a Jedi if you don't act like one? It might as well be a skin. Do they have different stories/roles to play for different classes based on what they'd do in the Universe, or is it just a one-story/behavior-fits-all sort of thing? Lame if it is, and I don't really get it. I'm not a Star Wars nut or anything, but I don't see a Jedi playing "Hutball".

You don't look up much info on this game do you? Each class has their own unique storyline with 200 hours of story each. I think there is 8 classes, so that's 1600 hours of story in total (and yes they do have endings). There is enough dialog in here to fill I believe dozens of standard size star war novels. Each story has full voice over work too, no scrolling text. You are looking way too mch into this video, as this is a pvp "mini" game that is meant to be relaxing and enjoyable apart from the more serious tone the rest of the game has. So yes Jedi do act like Jedi, with act like with, smugglers act like Han solo.
That all sounds grand but I hope it actually has an impact on the game. I've heard quite a few people say the beta feels a lot like World of Warcraft.. and that there is an abundant population of obese Jedi's with names like "Porkchop."

I'm going to wager there isn't that much story in the game. There will be a lot, but nowhere near that amount.
It's becoming more and more evident that there is a limitation to how much story games have. Or how much affect your decisions as a player makes to any game you play. They can only do so much.
I'm just going off what the devs said in an interview, but it still is hard to believe. Then again, they have been working on thr script for this game since 2005, and have around a dozen or so writers i believe so I don't think it's entirely impossible but that's what makes hype so great yea? Hoping for the best from a game we get all too excited for. I'm confident though that they can deliver an awesome game, as they havnt let me down yet

But why call it Huttball? That sounds a little bit like invented by some JarJar guy...

ANOTHER lame demonstration.
