GSY Tech PC PS4 Xbox One

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint is now available to those who preordered the game but the official release is still on October 4. We were sent a review code yesterday so videos of the final version are on their way. We'll start with the PC benchmark tool, which is pretty detailed we must say. As you'll see, our configuration (RTX 2080 Ti and i9 9900K) allows us to play almost fully maxed out (with a bunch of settings on ultimate except for volumetric fog, set to high only) in 1440p. Considering we don't have the Nvidia drivers which will undoubtedly come out this week and the ultimate settings are meant for future hardware too, it's not too bad in terms of performance. We'll see how it goes in game though, especially after the new Nvidia drivers are made available.
Update: One gameplay video added.

Thanks for the info and videos.

Do you plan to make any 2160p videos?
And dos the game have any ray tracing? I couldn't find that info and don't have time to search more thoroughly for it?

4K isn't possible with a decent framerate and ultra settings (and probably lower) so not likely.

No ray tracing to be found nope.

Nvidia released new drivers that should be "optimised" for the game, will you update the benchmark videos to reflect the new numbers if they are substantial ?

this game's environments are no joke, for sure. very dense usage of foliage and rock terrain detail.
at first i was pretty sure this would be heavily downgraded. on the contrary, this has to be one of the very few technical showcases for environments.  it's that good. even looking more impressive than a couple PS exclusives. if i dare to say so.

can't say everyone is surprised about the reviews. i saw it coming as well.
apart from the beautiful vistas, which was a bigger shock. typically Ubi games don't look this good when finished.

apart from it, this series should definitely consider wrapping things up. I could only imagine how a new splinter cell game would be like with visuals beyond this.

Sadly I can also imagine what splinter cell would be in the hands of modern ubisoft. Always online, open world, MTX filled, repetitive, boring mess. They need to re-evaluate what they're doing. Because this "greed above all else" approach to making games is going to bite them in the ass. I really hope players take notice and stop supporting this sort of shit...but they won't.

not that i would buy into MTs either. originally they were introduced by well received games.
i'd say that is where in your issue comes from. everyone would have to take it up with Counter Strike. all of the best online games that introduced MTs. which they won't because that made these games even better. so no, it will continue for years to come.

likely i'll be skipping this. a beautiful bargain bin at best. or if you have game pass.
A next gen splinter cell game however i would definitely pick up.
Blacklist had MTs yet it was still a great game.

Blacklist wasn’t an open world homogenised Ubisoft GaaS title either. But I guarantee that’s exactly what it would have been if it were made today. which is precisely what worries me about that franchise ever returning. You know for a fact they wouldn’t just make an amazing, well designed game that sold on it’s merits and nothing else the way chaos theory once did. Ubisoft don’t have any interest making games unless the player is grinding out content for 6-12 months or paying extra to bypass it.

all i can say is better that the low reception is now than later.
if the next splinter cell game plays anything like the games before, i'll still be playing it.
that's all i care about.
