The end of October is getting close and with it, the release of Gran Turismo 5's main competitor. Hence this new batch of images, which undoubtedly show that Polyphony and Sony are also preparing a hell of a good game. Given how great the game looks, it should be worth the wait.

not a huge fan of sims but the graphics of this makes it an appeal :|
personally i havnt played the last games in the series but i tend to stand on forza's side :)
will give it a shot when relesed :D
I guess even the king of racers is prone to the odd floating car.
Car models are nice, but theres so much blur / DOF that any of the track detail is lost. Also, there seems to be some funny shadowing issues going on, some cars have no shadows at all, or the ride height is a bit funny like in the last shot.
At least with the car models its pretty much what you see is what you get (i hope).
Which is the same bull Forza 3 (and every other racing game these days) use.
Can't wait tho
I'm a Forza man myself- but I'll be picking up GT5 when hell freezes over (the offical release date).

Looks great, but lets see some fuching gameplay. At least Forza 3 had the smarts to realize they couldn't market yet another racing sim with a bunch of bullshots alone. They showed off the features and gameplay of the game. I want more of that and less of this. The game looks greta, but I want more substantial content, thank you. A racing game shouldn't be about graphics.
These shots looked pretty bad ass, and again, the special thing about them is that they are nowhere near the same bullshot dose that we from Turn 10 and Forza 3.
Not saying that they don't look totally awesome, but still look like a game. GT5 replays look like real-life.
I also believe some prefer forza over GT because GT is much harder to play and is not easy, fun as it requires more practice. It is more sim than Forza

and what is that car all the way in the back in the last pic?
"the king is back", "rewind is a deal breaker", "more sim than forza", this is one silly ass thread, but so are all of them I guess.
GT5 is gonna look spectacular, but until they prove the physics are FAR better than GTP, saying the comments above shows little understanding of what REALLY makes a racing sim good, and that's whats going on UNDER the hood, not the glossy paint on the pretty chick car...
That being said, I think GT5 will be every bit as good as Forza 3, and probably better, but to act like it's a sure thing is just stupid.
Tracks. Forza's got some of the best out there, and the two huge point to point tracks are simply classics now. Universal damage too. I think it's way too early for even comments such as "GT5 will be every bit as good as Forza 3".
I think it's fair to say GT5 will be a great game though. I think that is fair to assume, but anything else carries too much assumption based on promises, and we know how that works in the videogames industry.
LEBATO, what's your problem with this game?
Trust in Polyphony Digital, they're good guys.
