Devolver and Ron Gilbert's Terrible Toybox just announced the 2022 release of Return to Monkey Island and it's awesome news! Guybrush Threepood better be in good shape as fans (including myself) won't accept an average game. Fingers crossed!
Glad to see Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman back on the series to continue where the second game left us hanging. Their writing together with Michael Land's tunes is all i could hope for. A bit curious about the art style. I will have to see more before i form an opinion. The old graphics guys Steve Purcell, Peter Chan and (maybe) Mark Ferrari are unfortunately busy elsewhere.
I was just about to start a new playthrough of the two original games last week..
Saw the news and immediately came here. Was not disappointed. For all of us Monkey Island fans, it's one of the best gaming news of the year. Let us all hope it's a masterpiece like the originals.
