Last time, Kane & Lynch: Dog Days unveiled its Arcade mode, today we get a glimpse at the multiplayer version of this one, entitled Fragile Alliance, with a trailer and some screenshots.
it's amazing how a colour pallet and some trickery can have it looking so realistic. Underneth it probably looks as adverage as hell. They've done well.
I just hope it controls alot better than the first. I know they've gone the more action rout this time, removing all the tactical elements..which is abit of a shame, but they were broken in the first so..
It just shows that proper presentation + good fx > high res textures and resolution. Devs need to get this in their thick skull and focus more on eye trickery to compensate for todays hardware limitations...

You'd have thought Killzone 2 would have taught them that...

exactly, post processing effects makes games go from good to amazing looking imo. metro 2033 has some great texture work, but the animation, particle effects and general atmosphere are kinda lacking. high res textures are all well and good, but if the general presentation isnt up to scratch it means precicely nothing as far as visuals go. sony seem to understand this, most other devs dont....yet.
Actually I don't like the look of the game simply b/c I really get turned off by washed out colors and a lack of deep blacks. It just looks so pastel... I know it's the style they are going for and it's a neat trick, but for my personal taste it just doesn't work.

its called CCTV
no it isnt. CCTV is more surveillance camera then digital hand-cam. kane and lynch is definately more hand cam then CCTV. manhunt did CCTV tho, really well i might add.
I AM afraid of it having so much movement it's hard to tell what's going on. Thank the Lord I don't get motion sickness. Also, the "fuzzy" screen might get annoying if they do it too much( think Conviction's black and white filter-grrr). I really like the Lens effects( one of the big KZ2 contributers), they really ground the graphics. The atmosperics are top-notch too. Feels real...

The idea of co-op is always cool, but this style of "vs. co-op", now that's crazy. Should make for some of the best multiplayer ever. I can't wait.
