So she is attractive so what? does it make the game better? would you tell the difference or really care if the same voice came from a 330lbs woman doing the voice work?
Whats next a Playboy spread out? come on get back to the games if we wanted to see hot chicks we all know where we can go to see them and talk to them.

if i thought the game would turn out great i would agree with you 100% as I am sure a big reason they hired her was because she has sex appeal and looks good in a "making of" video. I would probably be pissed off watching this video too if I were into this game, as it also seems like they are updating players of the game in such a shallow way by showing us someone who is attractive and is contributing her attractive voice to a game, a game where we will see nothing but pixels.

There have been loads of behind the scenes previews of high profile games featuring famous actors and actresses and they're not always sex symbols. What's your problem with the actress voicing Mary Jane being hot anyway? Personally I'm hoping there'll be a Supergirl spin-off of Smallville that she can star in (she played Kara/Supergirl in Smallville, for anyone who didn't know) and maybe they could make a videogame of that too.

she is famous for her looks, not her acting. if you seen her act its nothing special, which reflects in the films and shows she is in. and yes there are games that show behind the scenes with the actors who voice the game, but this one was very uninteresting and was mainly to show the players "look we have a hot 'nothing-special' actress" in our game! LA noire was interesting because the new technology they used for the actors in that game, so it would only make sense to interview them about how it works and what they need to do to prepare.

this was just lame and blatantly obvious that the company just wanted to show her off. all she did was talk about how excited she is for this game and how she has no past experience in voice work. wow what a keeper! at least behind the scenes in other games made sense, this one was just some actress saying "mary jane is rebellious and so am i HEHEHEHE OMG spank me!"

Why do Peter and Mary Jane look so different? Peter's face fits more a Superman than a nerd.

I don't think there's anything wrong with her acting but I'd say her casting has more to do with her NAME than her looks. She's got a memorable name when you look at it (even if it might be tricky to pronounce, although I just say it as I see it and it might be that simple) and she's famous for being Supergirl/Kara in Smallville and Lisa in the remake of V, so she already has a fanbase among people who this game would appeal to so it makes sense to cast her.

She also played super-girl in Smallville so has some comic/superhero "cred". Not just for her looks i'm guessing... though it obviously helps! ;)
