EA and Bioware proves that there is still a huge leap graphically between our current games and good CG with this great looking trailer of Mass Effect 2, seemingly announcing a longer video on Xbox Live for December 22.

They acknowledged it was a CG trailer as Bioware wanted to see what Blur studio could do with their assets.
Definitely a gap between what we have now and that CG. The gap will always be there though, the difference between what a computer can do in real time and with the luxury of minutes or hours to calculate a frame (not to mention post-processing) will always separate them.
BlimBlim is a super graphics whore, he is always complaining about one thing or another (I think he's a big fan of dynamic lighting, at least on neogaf :P)

This gap will allways progress towards zero, but will never reach zero. But even though, the actual graphics are pretty sharp. :D
Hey, isn't that the narrator from that National Geographic series from a long time ago? The one where the camera flew through the museum at the beginning and all the paintings came to life or whatever.
Next gen wont have graphics like this they will all be like wii with motion sensing or at least thats my nightmare. But would be nice for this kind of a leap next gen

Nobody told me, it's already out since January. O.o
Anyway, the first one was great on Xbox360 and even more on PC. Definately getting this one too.
I'm looking forward to ME2 :D
I will buy it when I finished the first but you can be sure I will buy it full price, even if I have to order a copy from Bioware!!!!

Ive already seen the combat in Ingame graphics, and i know that it can be just as epic when using those biotic skills and those new weapons.
it was an impressive trailer none the less, CGI animators always love to go 10 steps out of the norm to deliver such drama.
