After playing the first on my PC, so incredibly psyched!

I'm glad my only quibble about melee kills (if you equipped the knife, it took more than one strike from the back to kill them so you could be alerted) has been changed to now have stealth melee kills and also non-lethal takedowns.

This seriously needs to be better then the first. Just something that plays well, isn't tedious and is generally quite memorable. I felt the first game was kinda living in the shadow of the STALKER.

The potential is there, now it's just up to 4A to prove that they can make it better and more polished than its predecessor.

The stealth kills give me a glimpse of hope.

Is anyone else put off by the whole mutant/supernatural thing?

It's like everything seems great & then there is these big goofy ball mutants charging around.

It puts me right off the game altogether.

I don't mind that mutants are in it. I do mind that they are pretty naff design wise.

Well, it is based on the books and anything post-apoc radiation related will have monsters or anomalies by now. I love their design of the rats and the Librarians. This one now seems to have more variety.

Previews are generally positive, it's very few websites that get to be fully honest about a game in that stage since you're being shown a little part of a game that could turn out to be tedious in the final release. Many don't even get hands-on. Heck pick a bad game, and it'll have a positive preview.

Now many companies just release the gameplay on their channel, and let fans or gamers garner the hype rather than needing publications or sites to.

This isn't intended to come off snide but I'm familiar with how things go down. These were hands on with feedback going both ways. What they were saying didn't sound guided.

It doesn't both me, but I get what you mean. I think a more interesting game could of been made if they solely focused on human dynamics and maybe replace the monsters with scavaging.

Well, the only post-apoc game with no supernatural stuff is I Am Alive, which is focused on human dynamics and scavenging. A little rough, but a uniquely playing game.

I always have a problem when games introduce the super natural or mutations. But if done right I can accept it. There are a couple walk throughs that show these moments and they seem to handle it pretty well.

Just a follow up on those previews. A couple guys who really enjoyed the first said they were surprised the game held onto what made the first one so great while only improving on it's failings. They thought for sure that the game would have been COD ified to bring up the sales.

I'm just hoping. There are not enough games out there for adults.

In the Fallout games the mutant stuff fits right in, but here I am just not feeling it at all. The atmosphere & everything works really well & it feels like the mutants are shoehorned in there for the sake of it.
