Just wished Sci-fi stuff sopped having these humanoid aliens. Just model the face differently but give em the good old bilatteral symmetry and humanoid proportions! Other than that it looks a bit dated graphically...but i'd be willing to forgive that if the gameplay is interesting enough. Has ther been any real gameplay or just that CG trailer?
He still lacks character, visually. I mean, it doesn't look like a main character, he looks like one of the goons you shoot in the face in ny other game :\

Meh, could be worse, he does look like a bounty hunter so I dont mind considering thats what the main character is suppose to be.

Aren't you always asking for developers to mix it up when they make a sequel to a stale or average game? A "real" sequel to Prey in 2012 wouldn't be very interesting.

I liked prey, so your views on the subject do not correspond with my own...
Whats with all the bipedal aliens in games anyway? Is it cos the devs are too lazy to hand animate them, so just base all creations on the easily mo-capped human form? Mass effect was the same. Every alien that moved was bipedal. With a few stationary of floatong races. Is it really so hard to create a 4 legged alien?
I also like Prey, but it's not exactly a stand-out title. I like Prey in the same way I like Doom 3. And I hope to god Doom 4 isn't a sequel to Doom 3 either.

I liked it more then that. So i'd like some consistency in the sequel.
I like sequels to feel like sequels, i've made that pretty clear on various occasions, of late in regards to red faction in the past in regards to splinter cell. BUT if a series has ran out of ideas and started to feel stale, then yes, change would be good. Case in point call of duty. Depends on the game. Depends on my feelings towards said game. You clearly wasnt invested much in the characters or world of prey, so dont care what direction it goes in. I was, and dont like it's completely changed forcus. I see no reason as to why this even shares the name tbh
Prey 1 was boring IMO, played the demo just boring (awesome main theme though lol).
Prey 2 however looks leaps more cooler and interesting from visual design and gameplay.
No, it is not a sequal at all, but from what I remember we will get to see the main character in this one as well.
