I replaced my two 970 by one 980 Ti, I was bored of the lack of SLI support when some game launched, sometime bad SLI scaling, some engines just don't support SLI and never will (Just Cause 3), and as I play in 1440p, 6 GB of VRAM is better than 4.
And as I use a GSync screen, there's a bug in Nvidia drivers that disable DSR if you enable SLI + GSync, so now I can use DSR :)
Now I'm getting at least the same performance, and even better when there was no SLI profile or a bad one.
