Xbox 360

Bizarre Creations just released Studio Update 11, and gave the public this fantastic 3D screen. There is also a countdown on the site, which I'm pretty sure is counting down to the Microsoft Tokyo Game Show conference.

I guess many of you know this, but just for the ones who don't: You view the screen by draging the file into a web browser (IE, Firefox), or opening it in some Media Players, as Classic Media Player.

Boring and undetailed environment, too much blur and err... those skidmarks and the road texture need some work. Nice car, though.

The environment is out of focus, of course you aren't seeing any detail. They are trying to mimic an actual camera lens!

Oh come on. Do you really think that's an environment that you'll want to play again and again because it looks and feels so good? It's just ... empty. And btw, I'm not playing games through some lens -- instead I'm hoping I could feel like being there myself.

What are you talking about? That environment is a real-world location recreated to a ridiculous level of accuracy.

As for playing games through a lens, you are right, you are playing them through two.

It's called a depth of field effect, which makes the picture look more realistic. I doubt that effect will be turned on during gameplay. You'll see it in replays.

Yup, depth of field is going to make Gotham TV look so damn realistic.

I hope that effect won't make it to the final game. It really looks like the enviroment is painted to a wall in the distance. I don't want to see that in replays neither (not on default, maybe a some kind of filter). And the enviroment is too empty and dead. Well there is still a long way to go and hopefully there will be some life. The car looks nice, still.

A bit too much depth of field there, but i think it was simply to demonstrate its effect.
