Capcom has unveiled a new trailer of Resident Evil 7 and also announced "Midnight", the final update for the game's demo available now for PS4, PS4 Pro and PSVR. The demo will also hit Xbox One on December 9 and PC on December 19.
I played it in VR yesterday. From the beginning it is set that you turn in 30° increments. I changed it to smooth turning (like a normal FPS) and it didn't make me sick at all! Was quite suprised

I also changed it to smooth like an fps and didn't get sick. I really think a small majority don't get sick with Vr games. It's just the large minority get sick and that needs to be factored in when making Vr games. In the demo, there are many comfort options which is a plus. What I don't like is forced masks while turning like Eagle Flight. I saw the Star Wars Vr mission and for a while, there was a black circle around the peripheral vision of the cockpit. I hope you can turn that stuff off. Anyway, if anyone has psvr, try RE7 Beginning Hour Demo update out in Vr.
I really hate some of the music in Capcom, Konami and Kojima games but I am glad this game has taken a new direction with gameplay and mechanics. I haven't really seen a Resident Evil game for many years.
So, what are the differences between the standard PS4 version of this demo and the Pro? Are there discernible enough differences in IQ for PSVR? If it irons out jaggies and improves overall res from the standard Kitchen demo?

I expect supersampling, which honestly in most cases for VR games is more than enough without having to buy a new headset with a better screen.

No PC demo?
There will be a PC demo released in 2 weeks, on December 19th. It will also have many important Graphics options like: 144Hz, G-Sync, FoV, Uncapped Frame Rate, Resolution Scaling, AA, Montion Blur Toggle, DoF, AO, Lens Flare Toggle, Chromatic Aberration Toggle, and many, many more.
Capcom has obviously put a lot of care into the PC version. Hopefully, the game will be great s well. And also support Oculus Rift and Vive.

Hopefully. I don't really mind a lower res image in the headset. It's the jaggies that are most noticeable, and the shimmering they cause. For something like RE, which mostly takes place in claustrophobic environments, draw distance and low res objects in the distance won't be a problem.

And if you know your history, that spilled over into America too. "Hill Billies" didn't get that name by accident. There's a very specific reasoning for it. (13 Hours ago)

@jmd749: Yeah. Happened in my country too. Only they used religion and fealty to the monarchy of England as the divider instead of skin colour. Property ownership and jobs were the bribe. (13 Hours ago)

is not unique to Trump, neither is it new. It's been happening from the days of Jim crow where poor whites were given the illusion of inclusion. The age old divide and conquer play book. (20 Hours ago)

Yes, agreed. Had they been anything but white nationals they'd have been slaughtered. Chappelle said it best [url] This manipulation of poor white US nationals... (20 Hours ago)

If you storm a building like that and call it a revolution, you better be prepared to die. They clearly weren't or hadn't any clue of what a revolution entails. (1 Day ago)

@gigantor21: I found her to be a bit endearing in how naive she was. The police and guards in that building had the power to literally open up and slaughter the lot of them. (1 Day ago)

@MrWhite: That one lady whining about getting maced even though "it's a revolution" was the patron saint of the insurrectionists: entitled, weak and stupid. (1 Day ago)
