Red Dead Redemption 2 patch 1.09 brings a new HDR display mode called "Game Mode", supposed to modify the rendering of the game compared to the old "Cinematic Mode". The difference is indeed visible and here is a video captured on Xbox One X, as usual in 4K HDR.

Commented on 2019-06-02 19:08:14Finished it last week and while the story was better than RDR and Arthur is about a gazillion times more interesting than John (the only things that propelled me forward) The game itself was an absolute bore. Crappy shooting. Crappy controls. Mechanics that placed realism over actually being fun. And way too much horse riding. For a game that took so long and undoubtably cost so much, it's pretty crazy how much of the fundamentals they failed at.
