EA brings us to Respawn Entertainment where developers talk about the studio's first game that debuted at E3. TitanFall is set to release in Spring 2014 on PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360, the latter being developed by another studio.
Easily one of the best looking Games at E3 I can't wait to see more. I wonder if it's true that this is coming out on Xbox but not PS4 b/c of the server issue with Sony. Either way its this and forza 5 (and primarily the policy changes) that convinced me to preorder the xb1 along with my ps4.
Yeah, just not sure I'd want to play this game without the dedicated servers MS is giving them if I am correct. Sounds like they made a lot of decisions about the game structure with the dedicated servers in mind. If Sony offers them the same I guess as is well then.

or just use their own dedicated servers, like they do with battlefield 3.

They definatly watched District 9
Lol I thought the same thing but I love that about this game, and I think respawn has captured that vibe quite well here. From what I have seen so far this is easily a day one buy.
Why do the levels looked destroyed when you start them? Please tell me they are making a game for 2014 with mechs and the environment is destructible???
Mediocre as hell indeed. Why it won any awards at E3 is beyond me.

Because it looks really fun. A video game. That looks fun. Crazy how that would win awards.
Easy to believe that this is essentially a current gen game which has had some minor improvements for next-gen. It looks very basic, and a long way even from current gen stuff, such as Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us.
Also it's multi-player only, and so for me, totally uninteresting.

Dedicated servers are pricey and eventually will die. They are also very difficult to get working across the world. MS already has the infrastructure to provide essentially the same functionality but keeping the benefits of Matchmaking.

Graphically looks mediocre. Looks like an early Xbox 360 title. And as for the gameplay? Pretty much this game was already done with MAG.
Aren't you the guy who just comments on every Next gen game saying it looks like ass? Shut up, this looks fine. It's an early release, 60fps console game. The CoD guys have always cared more about response times and frame latency and frame count than amazing graphics, and this looks better than any 360 game and certainly better than games like Tenchu Z, Perfect Dark Zero, Oblivion, etc, which is what you're comparing it to. And as far as I know they weren't all running at 60 fps. Some less than 30 in fact.
And this is NOTHING like MAG. Mag was Call of Duty with some Resistence MP structuring. It was bigger scale Call of Duty. This is SMALLER scale and the gameplay centers around the juxtaposition of the pilots and mechs. MAG didn't have parkour and jump jets and mechs.
There is a really, really strange filter on this video judging by the screenshots. Might be contributing to it looking worse than it should, because past footage looked quite sharp.

But as KORNdog said. Looks fun.
As for Servers, i really hope people are not buying into virtual servers and cloud bullshit.
