MrWhite If it's something to just give a kind of haptic feedback for bumps on the road, then I'd say go for it. (1 Hour ago)
MrWhite @toelessfoot: I've not heard good things regarding motion platforms for sim racing in general. Less is more from what I've heard (1 Hour ago)
toelessfoot @Melmoth: Do you have any experience with the Buttkicker Gamer 2 type of device? I'm considering it for VR racing. Specifically how it compares to the seat cover you sent earlier (3 Hours ago)

MrWhite People don't read books. They'd rather listen to some dickhead talk smack about shit they haven't a clue about, despite them claiming they have an education in a certain field. Its enough to convince (2 Days ago)
jmd749 Yes, we live in the information age, but most have lost the skill/ability of assimilating and interogating that info. That's why the small misleading sound bites on twitter/facebook is preferred. Sad (3 Days ago)
MrWhite Instead people consult the oracles on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. All of them with bastardised and warped views of the world driven by decades of repressed bigotry as a hand me down at dinner. (4 Days ago)

Anyway, this "demo" just made it more obvious it's hard to sell ps4 pro. They should simulate the res difference somehow. And if it's upscaled 4k, the text in the beginning of the video is clearly false advertising.
developers wont have any lame excuses especially D.I.C.E. And UPISOFT by not making games higher res better fps
-bells and whistles @ a locked 30fps
-regular PS4 visuals @40-60fps
-regular PS4 visuals @4k 30fps
so out of those i choose the most consistent. i find fluctuations between framerates (which for instance effects responsiveness of controls randomly mid fight) way more jarring then a locked 30fps, which may have lower responsiveness overall, but you get used to it anyway and there are no surprises when the frames suddenly drop by 20 frames.
Especially when they relaunch their new super console, and it can't even run old titles at decent framerates WITHOUT any real upgrades.
UC4 is more beautiful than TR10 imo
My PC spec is GTX1070, so I don't think pro can surpass this IQ

Would be interesting to see what is better performance on the GTX1070 DSR to 4K or native rendering at 4K.
It seems impossible given the PS4 Pro hardware they are rendering at 4K and maintaining solid 30 FPS without reducing many of the other eye candy rendering techniques.
I still would be interested if somebody has a 1070 or 1080 to render at 1080P and DSR up to 4K and compare it to native 4K on the same card and then comment on frame rate and visual quality. I'm sure if I use google I could find about 100 examples though. :P

1080p are for other modes, depending on developers.

PS4 pro here I come, already sold my PS4, while it was still worth something. :)
I am now very tempted to buy a 4k TV, but I want to get a good one, I'll use my 1080p Samsung in the mean time.
The only thing Sony messed up on is not including a 4k Bluray player, but it's understandable from a cost perspective.

cost come down, shit decisions are done.

Why should Sony isolate 40 million PS4 owners who don't have 4K bluray players and put one that will not be utilised for games.
I personally think they did the right thing and kept the price at $399 and spent their budget on what matters most in a console, the GPU.
The PS4 Pro is a fantastic machine and will certainly be the go to console for VR gaming in time to come.
