Xbox 360

Ubisoft sent out the following images from the Xbox 360 version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent, looking great as usual. The last screenshot seems kind of different-looking though.

I'm glad to see the textures don't suck like at e3.

Last screen looks real time the rest look like renders if you ask me.

Pic 3 seems far too detailed to be real time IMO.

I think they are all just posed screens, not taken from the regular gameplay camera viewpoint, while the last screen is?

I think all of them are gameplay screens don't forget about directed moments. Ingame cutscenes that are fully controllable designed to give it a cinematic look.

Yeah, pic 5 is a bit blurry. Odd when all the rest are so sharp. looks to me like 2 and 5 are real-time shots and the rest are renders.

The texturing in pic 3 is looking very highly detailed.

Still, all very nice.

They all look weird to me, but especially weird are 2, 3 and 5. On 3 there's no way he's gonna adjust his hand like that to grab that piece of architecture.

My money's on they're all pre-renders of some sort. Nonetheless it'll prolly look roughly like this anyway. The game will be ace, I don't care either way.

The detail is amazing, I can't wait to play this game. I wonder what online and co-op (if there is a co-op) will be like.

Im kinda disappointed in this game and the developers, since they have to show renders instead of actual in-game screenshots. Splinter Cell is, or was always known to be ahead of its time in gfx, but if they cant even show the real gfx then theres something wrong.

dont know why you guys dont think these are real time if you looked at the table tennis you guys would probly say that if table tennis looks as good as it does then why cant this.Yall remember how state of the art chaos theory looked so dont under estimate ubisoft these are probly real time they always go all out on the splinter cell games on graphics and movements.

This game looks great. The developers always postion the camera so that it looks great, or add in effects. This is nothing new to video games. Or it could just be their ingame cinematics...the games have them nowwadays.

Probably 1, 4, and 5 are real. But its really lame and sketchy for them to mix in renders with in-game shots. Pic 3 is obviously not in-game, like the other guy said if you look at his left hand you can tell, the way he's grabbing the ledge is too precise, the details are much higher, and theres more shadows cast than normal.

Pic 3 is wow to me!! Looks really good, though Pic 2 doesn't look as great as the others.

I want to know how different the game is now that it's more open ended and not just using the darkness.

The 3rd screen is amazing if it is ingame which most likely it is but somehting is odd about the fifth one. the background buildings look like an overlaped image or somehting, ti does not look like it's modelled as in not a 3d object.

All seem touched up to varying extent. Especially the daytime shot the shadows are way too smooth, as if not "pixel shaders" at all. Such obvious faking of detail means the rest of the shots shouldnt be fully trusted.

Seems it cant match the level of Vegas and is desperately trying not to look worse.
