A little patience and you get to appreciate trailers in high quality as the one for Star Wars Battlefront from Gamescom that Electronic Arts granted us. It reveals the Fighter Squadron mode. The title will hit store shelves on November 17th.
Having played in Alpha, flying controls were one of the most uncomfortable, unresponsive and mind-bogglingly dumb. Hopefully they're completely overhauling it prior to release.

That's strange, because the MULTITUDE of video outlets who had hands-on at GamesCom said nothing of the sort. The only thing mentioned that could be considered a negative was the inclusion of "escape maneuvers" on the D-Pad being too easy.

tbh i don't remember the last time i read a negative preview for a game...even the ones that turned out bad? they're usually uber positive glowing accounts that by review time turn into scathing criticism.
so those multitude of video outlets don't mean much either really.

Eh.. pretty much everyone I know that played the alpha said that vehicle handling, and especially the flight model, was much more "simple" than Battlefield. Which is sorta what I expect in general. I'm on board but my expectations are kinda mild.
