As promised, here is the full Resident Evil Village demo which was released last night on Playstation 5 exclusively. The size of our video is pretty close to the size of the demo itself, so you can easily imagine that quality is great. We'll start with an SDR video but we're encoding some HDR gameplay too. Just don't expect this second video to be ready anytime soon.
Update: After a bit more than 4 hours of encoding, the HDR version is up!

Commented on 2021-01-26 23:18:31I really like the style of visuals here. I also like the atmosphere and gameplay, perspective, more than RE2 and RE3 remakes, or any RE with 3rd person. They are all just action games in my opinion and don't feel like RE. I've had both of the remakes for a while and haven't really been able to get into them for some reason.
I see some nice specular effects from multiple light sources and decent lighting in general but really inconsistent texture work. Some are decent but many are really low res. And with all the static lighting they could have really gone all out with some impressive baked GI. This just doesn't look new gen to me. Hopefully the visuals and textures will get more work before its released because I do like the visual style a lot in general. This might end up being my favorite RE game since the originals.
