The Witcher needs to be an HBO series! After Game of Thrones ends, the Witcher will be a more than worthy successor. This NEEDS to happen!
I have wanted this ever since the first The Witcher game, HBO would make it justice. All we can do is hope The Witcher series catches the eye of a writer, executive producer, director or a studio executive with enough say to make it happen.

Amen brother! The Witcher 3 has Game of Thrones actor Charles Dance (aka Tywin Lannister) voicing a character in the game. Hopefully the wheels are already turning behind the scenes for this to happen. Bernie and Dan (Game of Thrones executive producers) regularly attends San Diego Comic Con, I'll definitely have my peeps kindly suggest this to them(since I won't be attending this year).

Hopefully, one of them at least checks the books in case they aren't much into gaming. Also, this may be hard to imagine, and even more hard to do, but I believe Tom Hardy would make a great Geralt. His acting in Locke is incredible!
Plus he has the body and the looks - I'm using the 4th image as base, with some more beard, added scars and a hoarse voice, I can totally see him as The White Wolf.
And Charles Dance can always dye his hair black and use some make up to look a little younger. As for Yennefer, Triss and Ciri, well... I have some actresses in mind, but I will leave them to your imagination.
Needless to say that with the right budget and tone, it would be an epic HBO TV series. Alternatively, Peter Jackson could make 1 or 2 trilogies, like one for the books and another for the games. It would just need to be more darker and gritty than his past works.

Fellas, as much as I'm excited for Witcher 3(even bought a TitanX for it. :), let's wait till the game is released before we start writing movie scripts and casting roles. The game and story might end up being a bit shit, you never know. :P
