CD Projekt Red released this video showing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt running on the Xbox One. I guess it's finally time to see how good (or bad) the game looks with its dynamic scaling method switching between 900p and 1080p depending on what's happening on screen. The review embargo is lifted tomorrow but sadly Gamersyde wasn't sent a copy of the game early. Thankfully, you'll certainly find articles and videos on the professional websites, or maybe even on the channels of the most ~~talented~~ followed Youtubers.

If you download the video it looks like your playing the game, there is no compression and it looks really good. And btw the game is 900p with Dynamic scaling too 1080p. So kinda like Call of Duty advanced Warfare single player campaign.

The footage is posted in 720p, although developer CD Projekt Red has assured that the final Xbox One version of the game will run in 900p and 30 frames-per-second. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will run in 1080p and 30 frames-per-second on the PlayStation 4.

The video resolution and the resolution the game is rendered at aren't necessarily 1:1. But you knew that.

The game is definitely not 1080p :P

Looks brilliant, got it preloaded on XB1 and I'll pick it up again later down the line for another PC playthrough.

Seems to run a fair bit worse than the recent PS4 footage but still looks pretty nice. I actually think AC unity looks better than this though visually. But then smaller open world so, swings and roundabouts i guess. Got it pre-ordered either way. Just hope i can get past the god awful voice acting lol.

No, even the article mentions the game is 900p. The video was recorded at 720p. The actual game on Xbox One will run with a variable 900p - 1080p depending on the load on the engine. If there is light load, then it will run at 1080p. If it starts experiencing heavy load, then it will render at 900p.

Yeah Geralt's not got the best voice acting...and why he's the only one with an american accent i'm still not sure - other than the obvious marketing reasons of making protagonists Americans.

The rest of the voice acting so far has been spot on though I think.

Looks very nice overall, although watching that footage I don't think it is hitting 1080p most of the time, or even much in that footage. Either way, I think this will be the nicest looking open world game available when it releases.

Ah okay, so this video was recorded at 720p? That makes sense, since the IQ seemed disappointing. Seems to be a few fps drops in there as well.

Otherwise, this game is going to be incredible. Best game for me so far this gen without a doubt, although I haven't played Bloodborne (which has the most incredible art)

there's more than a few fps drops in there.. from what I can see its a fairly consistent stuttering... frame pacing issue perhaps.

Shouldn't it be common knowledge at this point that XBONE renders TW3 in 900p, upscaled to 1080p? It's certainly appeared in official announcements often enough.

Croatian or Chinese. Definitely the most fantasy of all accents.
