Platinum Games released three new images of the intriguing Vanquish. We will probably have to wait until E3 to see if Shinji Mikami's new game can live up to the man's reputation but one thing is certain, it will clearly be action packed.

Well if this is only half as good as Bayo it will be one of the best games this year, and this one doesn't seem to have the (sorry raiptoir) awful character designs that made Bayo so distracting in a bad way at times.
Shooting is quite a bit different but I have high hopes for them capturing a true sense of pulse pounding action.
If there is one thing the industry could use it would be a fresh take on the action shooter genre as by and large it's such a "tunnel vision" genre. Especially considering how many games are in the genre. IMO at least.
