More people should play Yakuza 0. This game has more interesting story and characters than most AAA games this gen.

Great news!!! The more people get to play Yakuza games, the better. Hopefully this is a trend and more games start going multi-platform and multi-consoles. Exclusivity can go to hell, greats games deserve to be played by as many people as possible.

Xbox Game Pass is great as well, since it will allow a lot of people to try these games for the first time. Which I'm sure will make even more Yakuza fans. Great for Sega, Microsoft, Yakuza franchise and, ultimately, the customers.

this came out of nowhere....
just reminding xbox gamers, this was among the longest running third party exclusive series to date. since the PS2 era. the spiritual successor to shenmue many would say.
i haven't jumped in the PC ports yet but there is definitely positive reception from the series.

Since you've yet to play them, you might want to hold off until they get released on Game Pass. Then you can play them either on XB1 or PC (Windows Store) to see if you like them. Though if you do like them, please consider buying as they're worth it and will help Sega bring more games to these platforms.

Great series! Just be sure not to play them all back to back, or you might get burned out. A nice series to intersperse with other games and enjoy the story, wackiness and enjoyable but liable to get a bit repetitive (if playing games back to back) combat.

MrWhite new api's that talk to gpu and ssd's are the exciting thing there. That'll be present in both console and PC, eventually. (1 Hour ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite You can have all the CPU/GPU processing in the world, but if there's a bottleneck in data throughput, you're still going to get games developed the same way, i.e loading when you walk into buildings (1 Hour ago)

MrWhite @jmd749: Was thinking about building interiors when playing GTAV. I think that's more down to loading and how designers design the levels more than anything. (1 Hour ago)

toelessfoot @jmd749: Interesting never even considered the gameplay applications for tensor cores. Is there anywhere I could read more about it? (2 Hours ago)

  • jmd749

jmd749 Imagine a GTA type game where every building was fully populated with NPCs living complex lives procedurely. There's so much ai potential in those tensor cores for games. (9 Hours ago)

  • jmd749

jmd749 @MrWhite: once their games are on PC i'm good, especially on Steam. :) On a side note, I can't for a open world game to properly tap into the ai capabilities the tensor cores in Nvidia's GPUs. (9 Hours ago)
