Halo Wars

Microsoft releases a few screenshots of Halo Wars' new downloadable content, Historic Battles. This add-on includes four new multiplayer skirmish maps that highlight key turning points in the UNSC/Covenant war. Historic Battles is available for 800 points.

Microsoft has released the fourth video documentary about Halo Wars, which is set to be released next Friday. The video is unfortunately not in 720p, but we might get one later.

Microsoft and the now defunct Ensemble Studios released this third viddoc about Halo Wars, this time trying to go into details about the how and why of the control scheme.

Microsoft released the second developer diary of Halo Wars, this time explaining how the developers managed (and succeeded if I might add) to integrate the Halo universe into a RTS game.

The demo of Microsoft's and Ensemble Studios' Halo Wars is not due to hit the Marketplace until next week, but thanks to the XCN we got access to it a week early. It includes two maps, tutorial and a skirmish mode. I captured the two maps and the (previously shown) intro, while I'll let you see the other two CG movies by yourself when you play the demo!

Microsoft has announced that Halo Wars is finished and will be released on the 27th of February. A demo will hit the Marketplace on the fifth, and a couple of images from the demo was sent out.

Last out with a bang is Microsoft, with Halo Wars. The interview was done by Microsoft's XCN, and the questions were submitted by the members (us and other sites in Europe). Dan Cornelius answers the questions, covering story, Age of Empires, comparisons with many other games and more.

Microsoft released these images of Halo Wars, both gameplay and from some CG sequences. It's looking pretty promising and release is planned in February.
