AC4 Black Flag shows next-gen feats

I believe you Blim. It just seems really odd that the PS4 multiplayer version has been shown running at 60fps, which has been confirmed by multiple sources. I wonder why they reduced the framerate? I've seen the multiplayer version, and it's def not a looker by any means. Doesn't seem like it would tax the PS4 at all. Would be nice if we had some clarification on this.

I should clarify as to not to offend anyone. I mean the multiplayer looks like a stripped downed version of the single player. It looks like it was designed to run at a high framerate with what looks close to current gen versions with some higher rez textures going on. You don't see all the whiz bang effects from this single player video going on in the multiplayer version. Just seems really odd that the framerate was reduced, especially when you have one dev saying that it's 60 fps, and a another saying its only 30.

Oh man, Be ready to do nothing but praise Sony over there, or be called a liar, Microsoft astroturfer, fanboy etc... I have no idea what happened to that place over the last 6 months, but it seems to be a Sony wasteland at this point. Console wars I guess... If you knew nothing about games and that was the only place you went to for news you would think Microsoft was about to release a console with the power of the Wii or something lol.

So this early in the next generation, 60fps and/or 1080p is already a problem. That means Watch Dogs won't be any better. That is not good at all.
I def wouldn't go that far. Launch games have always had problems like this. Killzone SF multi looks to be 1080/60fps and it already looks comparable to anything PCs have to offer. I think these consoles will fare just fine once devs work out the kinks and get to grips with the hardware.

Yeah, make a account at Neogaf, because you know, it's cool there and shit. Is it fuck. That place is no different to the likes of other popular dumps like IGN or N4G. It's populated with attention seeking wankers, and prepubescent twats. Might as well be the Youtube comments section at any rate.


Anyway, this game does look rather fancy. All the next gen feature set is really nice and all, but it does strike me as a game caught between gens, much like Watchdogs is.

I doubt this level of quality will be on current-gen versions.
I dont know, maybe its because this video has "next-gen feats" in its name.

yeah, on a waay smaller level. This moves, but is all dynamically affected by wind and objects. A lot of things have been done already, but it's the next step up in doing them. It's really more about dynamics now, seeing as the last gen was already looking great in many games. They were using pretty advanced shaders too. It's going to be pretty incremental now...

sadly they're gonna try to make games on both the PS4 and Xbox One as identical as posible. So basically what every the limit Xbox One has in visuals and gameplay, is what you're gonna see on the PS4 version of multiplatform games. Now as for 1st party games...the PS4 is gonna be a biblical BEAST in terms of graphics, gameplay, and inovations (looks at Naughty Dog and San Monica Studios)

Even AC3 ran like ass on top of the line rigs
Ran really well with TXAA at high, max settings on my 680/i7. Not flawlessly, but it's not an ugly game so it's understandable.

Xboxone will have trouble, does not have enough enough grunt, gpu wise and compute wise.

Best mplats of all games will be PC/PS4
There is absolutely no proof that the Xbone can't keep pace with the PS4. If you assume that power is everything, you must not have paid any attention to this current generation. The PS3 never did anything terribly impressive with it's more potent CPU, and the Xbox 360 never did anything terribly impressive with it's theoretically more potent GPU. Even with exclusives.
At the end of the day, both systems are doing different things. So comparing them based on numbers is not just silly and stupid, it's straight up bullshit.

If they are Ubisoft developers present...all I wanna say, is I would LOVE for "The Truth" puzzle/glyphs to return. Those were sooo deep. It was so much Truth hidden in it's fiction.
