My wish for the new year is that people like you (from the Sony camp), others from the Xbox camp and the YouTube idiots that make videos like the one you posted, disappear from existence.... Your post is so sad on many levels....

PS4 sold last year 530,000 units in the UK in five weeks (outsold Xbone by 166,000)

It is yes but MS can kiss that good bye this gen unless they absolutely kill it with big games. The UK used to be very pro PlayStation but the Xbox 360 turned it around only for MS to go and screw it up with the Xbox One. France is NintendoLand. Germany still loves the PlayStation. Other territories vary.

I'd say UK has always been more sony territory, only last gen there was no sony for a year so people just went with MS.

I dont think that's the reason, at least not the only one. Price was a HUGE factor for the way the PS3 sold in the UK. Sony was too cocky with its pricing and it paid the price last gen. They have rectified that this time around though only for MS to go and do the exact same thing with the Xbox One....

I love gaming rant video like this. People should not take these videos too seriously.

Anyways, I think it is normal for PS4 having advantage over XO. XO is rushed console, may be both but Sony in much better situation. Microsoft IMO is a year late to release their console. Had XO release in 2012 it would be interesting. Kinect less sku or a price drop anyways. It has to happen within 2years. Probably PS4 will have it on 3rd year with new sku.

price is a factor in any consumer goods, sure, but less immediately comparable when there is an entire year seperating you. not to mention sales where almost the same if you remove that year head start, which indicates price wasn't that big a factor for most early adopters. timing was. if the xbone was released a year before the PS4, i'd have felt compelled to buy one just to experience "next gen" asap.

Of course Quantum Break (the only "next gen" game I am truly interested in so far) is NOT among the games mentioned for 2014.

With Remedy's development times, I confidently expect it to hit the shelves in early 2018, lol.

The PS4 daily population for BF4 has actually surpassed the Xbox 360. That's fairly impressive.
