Sony announced its game streaming plans, can read more over at GAF.

Basically they will have a beta the end of Jan, and plan for release for summer 2014, it will release for PS4/3/Vita,Bravia, android and iOS.

The demo at Sony's CES show booth features four titles, including The Last of Us, God of War: Ascension, Beyond: Two Souls, and Puppeteer.

I have to say Sony is bringing out the big guns this generation.

I remain skeptical about this streaming tech to be honest, I feel that lag is going to ruin most PS3 games that run at a high frame rate. There are also reports that there is some lag between button presses and what you see on the screen. If this does indeed become successful, there will be a huge strain on Sony's data centres infrastructure. 10/20 years from now hopefully when 100 MB/s connections become the norm though, this shouldnt be a problem.

Where I do see this streaming technology to be more successful right now is if PS2/PS1 games are offered (is that going to be the case?). Nonetheless, Sony is doing what us gamers want very very well so kudos to them for selling 4.2 million consoles, much deserved.

Microsoft, the ball is in your court and boy do you have a lot to come up with to reverse your fortunes (not that they are doing badly in terms of consoles sold so far but you fear for their future at this rate).

I have a feeling this year's E3 will be EXPLOSIVE! if Microsoft means the business, E3 will be the place to show it!
