What's wrong with everyone's reading grammer??

Where did I mention Mr x or Parity or secret sauce?????

Read slowly...

"I just hope the driver updates come fast so the x1 gets a better game experience"

The internet is in chaos following the Ground Zeroes announcement of 720p vs 1080p .... very entertaining, I must say.... and while the internet furor goes on I will keep playing games on PS3/Xbox360 and enjoying myself.

I hope these SDK updates keep on rolling out fast.
Bolcato stated that, “It was clearly a bit more complicated to extract the maximum power from the Xbox One when you’re trying to do that. I think eSRAM is easy to use. The only problem is…Part of the problem is that it’s just a little bit too small to output 1080p within that size. It’s such a small size within there that we can’t do everything in 1080p with that little buffer of super-fast RAM.

“It means you have to do it in chunks or using tricks, tiling it and so on. It’s a bit like the reverse of the PS3. PS3 was harder to program for than the Xbox 360. Now it seems like everything has reversed but it doesn’t mean it’s far less powerful – it’s just a pain in the ass to start with. We are on fine ground now but the first few months were hell.”
Will the process become easier over time as understanding of the hardware improves? “Definitely, yeah. They are releasing a new SDK that’s much faster and we will be comfortably running at 1080p on Xbox One. We were worried six months ago and we are not anymore, it’s got better and they are quite comparable machines. The Xbox One is a bit more multimedia, a bit more hub-centric so its a bit more complex. There’s stuff you can and can’t do because it’s a sort of multimedia hub. PS4 doesn’t have that. PS4 is just a games machine.”

The PS4 is thus more of a gaming machine in its core focus. “Yeah, I mean that’s probably why, well at least on paper, it’s a bit more powerful. But I think the Xbox One is gonna catch up. But definitely there’s this eSRAM. PS4 has 8GB and it’s almost as fast as eSRAM [bandwidth wise] but at the same time you can go a little bit further with it, because you don’t have this slower memory. That’s also why you don’t have that many games running in 1080p, because you have to make it smaller, for what you can fit into the eSRAM with the Xbox One.”

This was mentioned last year by the leakers also, but there will always be a difference (if the multiplat devs choose to implement), weather it be more frames or more bells and whistles on the ps4, but yeah big differences with time will get closer on multiplat titles, with the exclusives on both sides really showing what each console can do.

You were being hopeful, nothing wrong with that, but the article you quoted cites an idea that SDK updates alone will allow 1080p/60fps - which is impossible. It just echoes the eventual parity, MrX quotes, etc that have come up in the past. There's nothing those updates can do to improve the abilities of the console, which was their point.

Let's leave it on the last page.

And my point is that I hope these updates the DEV mentioned keep on coming so I get a better gaming experience.

Pretty much yeah, will have both consoles by the end of the month, so

Oh dear.... It is entirely up to MS to prove that Xone is capable of 1080p/60fps via their first party now if they still keep touting that it is possible.

Let's face it, at this point I dont think we will see any if not, extremely rare, 1080p titles for X1 while we will see majority or all of them (as it has been so far) 1080p on PS4.

It isn't 800p (thank fuck) It's 1080p with black bars, the same way that blu ray you last watched was 1080p with black bars. No upscaling required unlike ryse etc. dat 1:1 pixel mapping.

Yep thats how it is.
Though i hate the black bars, i understand why in movies but in games? fuck that. Give me the entire screen covered and keep that gimmick shit out of it.

I still cant believe people think that SDK updates can make The Xbox One more capable.... Stop being in denial and face the truth, MS screwed up, simple as that.

Of course better tools/drivers will make it more capable with time, just like the ps4 will get better with time, but even when devs start hitting constant res parity the ps4 will still push better frams and textures, so there will always be disparity between the two.

Well a number of multiplat games are already at res parity so
Not IF. My point is even when it happens there will still be some disparity.

A few multiplat games being at res parity is a far cry from "devs hitting constant res parity"

You're claiming all games will ultimately achieve 1080p across both platforms...that won't happen. Graphics will always trump resolution, and when PS4 is dropping resolution to make prettier games in a few years time, the xbone will be dropping even further in an attempt to match it graphically. There will always be a gap. If anything it will grow.
