OMG LOST PLANET IS FIN AWESOME!!!

gotta run and only tried the first demo part, but

1. walking around gameplay is actually really fun, the grenades and weapons are nice to use
2. explosions are awesome! especially when you get the fireball effect indoors
3. the big bugs are very cool
4. when you get a mech, the party is on!
5. swarming flying things are great, so many bugs on screen in the cavern it gets kinda hectic
6. bug generators are back!
7. the spinning bug thing is a cool boss fight, debris and chaos everywhere!
8. you can pull the gatling gun off the mech to use when you're walking?! hahah
9. great framerate and graphics
10. awesome job capcom!

Wow, Lost Planet looks nice. The gameplay takes a bit of time to get used to, but afterwards it's simple. I'll do a video after I'm done eating.
Is it me or is the 2nd mission really hard. Did I miss something? I'm getting hacked to pieces by the mecha.

Some pretty awesome explosions, nice snow fx and landscape, wish they would use more blue on the shadows...

But the little enemy aliens really need some work on their attacks, it seems like they just walk slowly towards you, fortuanly this game has 10 months or so til gold so capcom got time :).

Damn, can't download it till this evening, they'd better not remove it again!
Can someone tell me how the controls feel, cause by the looks of the demo BlimBlim uploaded, it seems a bit, I don't know, cheapisch(as in The Outfit).
Also can you walhug, dive, roll etc?
If not, I don't see why they had to make it 3rd person.

Downloading the demo as we speak. Not sure about the wall hug, diving, etc but aren't you able to ride around in big mechs in this game? They probably wanted to keep the over-the-shoulder view for walking around on foot and when you're inside a mech just to keep the game uniform. Will find out the answer soon enough though! :)

Ah yeah, forgot about the mech part, but they could have done none mech stuff in first person and jump to 3rd person when entering an mech.
Without having the benefits of an 3rd person view, I don't see the point in having it.

what a fucking awesome game. It reminds me of RE4 mixed with starship troopers. Those big ass insects come out of nowhere. Anyone else use the big ass gattling gun?
