E3: Lost Planet

This game is good. Took some time learning the aiming and maneuvering scheme but once you get it down, it's fun. The game is actually challanging which is good. Took me a while beating both levels. Can't wait for the full game.

Just had a go at the first mission of the demo. I hate spiders and creepy crawley things and felt uncomfortable fighting them! Think that says it all for the quality here, excellent demo.

It says alot for UE3 that the artists can go completely wild on the creature designs without apparently many limitations.

I really like the game.. I just hope that in the full version you can swap aiming to the left thumbstick, which would make playing the game a lot easier for me being a lefty.. Despite my complete crap aim with the righthand I really really like this demo, I'm gonna replay it several times for sure..

You sure your not getting mixed up with Lost Odyssey Deftangle?

I thought it was an awesome demo probably the best demo i have played on the 360 to date..

Seems like the game has a nice selection of weapons also ..

In response to Lebato in his other thread....I don't think anyone here is surprised that you are disappointed since that is always the case with every demo/trailer you view/discuss here. It's quite sickening.

New rule: If you don't have an HDTV then you cannot comment on the graphics of X-Box 360 games.

I think these latest demos are some of the best we've seen on live. Lost Planet is one of the best action titles I've ever played. It looks good, it plays good, it sounds good. I cannot wait to buy this game. I hope MS continues to provide excellent content at gaming events (even if everyone in the world tries to d/l them all at once ).

I finally completed the second mission with the stupid Snow Pirates. It was tough but on my 5th or so try I finally made it. This is one of the best TPS games I have ever played on any console its awesome.

I just wish they could make it when you jump you can hook your rope on to something while in the air, or reloaed. Because I did alot of ninja stuff in the game like dodging attacks, juimp and shoot...etc. And I got extremely close to my enemies that I could go melee attack, but the games doesnt have that so that sucks. But anything else in the game is awesome. I am gonna buy this game when it comes out.

Oh and by the way, the theme music when they used for the first trailer for LP is just outstanding and gives you that heart pumping action.

Did you hook onto the big insects yet its really fun. I did the whole hook &shoot down at the insect while falling thing.

it is or was there i down loaded it last night, and i must say that i was rather impressed with the game play, still a lot to be done with the game, but stil very impressive non the less (imo).
when you come across one of those mech walkers and get in it (animation wise was quite sweet) explosions and the blurr effect that goes with it very nice.
it kinda plays like a 1st person shooter in 3rd person mode (not quite the 2.5 view of ghost recon and it was weird for a few moments.
but still this will be a must buy

Agreed! Been having a lot of fun with the Lost Planet demo and, surprisingly, the Top Spin 2 demo. :)

Have yet to try TDU but will probably download that tonight... life is good.

hahaha sorry man but it sure as hell doesnt. Lost Planet is awesome and all but next-gen starts when Mass Effect is on everybodys 360 and when when you are controlling Marcus on Gears of War. That is when next-gen starts not Lost Planet, though its awesome =).

Watching the Gamespot E3 live right now and two of the editors talked said that Lost Planet and Dead Rising are about a month away from release, wtf?

They dont have any other info that we dont, right?!?

Okay it starts with whichever one of these titles release first. Its between Gears of War, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Too Human (This one is still very much on my radar despite E3)

Yup, it started when I put Dynasty Warriors 5 into my Xbox 360.

Seriously, though... next-gen doesn't truly start till Culdcept Saga comes out. ;)

I didn't like it. Sure visuals were nice. But gameplay was borring. It was just shoot shoot shoot, nothing else. it was dull. I'm definately not buying this one. I'm not saying its a bad. Its an AVERAGE game.
