I was really surprised at this game. My husband and I had very low expectations for Fable 2 since both of us didn't like the first game. While I'm more of a JRPG fan and my husband like games like Oblivion, both of us felt that Fable 2 deserved the review scores that it got.

While there are indeed a couple of bugs along the way, the general feel of this game is amazing. And the best thing about it is that casuals can pick it up which I think is a good thing. I like the whole idea of earning money and eventually getting stores to earn money for me. I like the whole concept of the dog getting treasure. It's a very interesting game indeed and clearly has implemented a lot more ideas compared to the typical JRPG. From my perspective I think this game is better than Mass Effect or Oblivion. There is just something about it that makes you want to keep on playing.

I'm not looking for perfection in my games. What I want is a fun experience and for that this game deserve a very good score.

completed it today, 28 hours it took me. not bad, worth the money at least. seriously wish i didnt choose what i chose at the end tho.

cos now my dog, and to a lesser extent my wife and child, are dead and they aint coming back, damn me and my selfless act. oh, and i got sex change too...lol, so now im a very VERY masculine woman.

now its complete tho the world feels very empty and uninteresting. theres no quests to do apart from jobs, the last 3 demon doors, and keys and gargoyle collection and there just isnt much incentive to keep playing...so i guess its time to start an evil character....but i'll wait a few weeks. had enough of the game for the time being.

I bought Fairfax and the quest involving it was pretty cool. My family seems pretty happy in it. I just hope they don't go wandering off to Bowerstone Cemetery because I married Lady Gray there and we have a couple kids. Kinda creeped out by that whole decision considering I married her in Fable 1 too and I'm pretty sure this dude is like her great great great great...GAAAHH!

Now I've got around 1mil gold left and I'm trying to buy up all the real estate in the game. Now people call me Mayor :).

I beat it today. I thought it was a solid game but not a 10 out of 10 amazing experience.

Have 2 wives living opposite each other in bowerstone, both with kids and both in happy state, its funny seeing them argue in the middle of the street anytime i go back there.

Until you can buy like all the houses and shops, bartending is by far the fastest way to get cash. I easily max out the amount you earn at that (1125 per pint i think). Thats pretty fast money.

Also shops generate way more money than regular houses.

I wonder by the way, do you get better rent if you buy fancy furniture for the houses? I haven't been able to try because the damn shop in bowerstone never has anything in stock.

im not sure, but i dont think so, better furniture just raises the value of the house when re-selling...which if you can double the value and sell it you get an achievement.

Also, try buying every weapon the blacksmith has when they have a massive price decrease (-75%) and sell it back during a shortage.

i think the merchants in fairfax gardens always pay a lot more than the others as well, so...that could be a hot tip for some quick cash.

Here is the final protip for making fast money: Buy as much property as you can, then save and quit to the dashboard. Dísconnect fomr live and set the clock to 2009 and load your saved game...voila, a million and a half in 2 minutes.

Some might call it cheating (i call it saving time, since 15000 goes straight into my pocket every 5 minutes anyways) but it works. I only had fairfax left to buy and i didn't feel like bartending for 6 hours straight so....yeah :P

Must say though, i feel relieved now that i'm done with this game...it felt like such a chore towards the end. I had come too far to quit but it just wasn't much fun anymore. Oh well, it's over and done with.

i didnt think it was a chore. i just wish there was stuff to do. now its complete i have a world that is completely BORING...no quests, nothing. yes i could get those last 3 demon doors, and yes i could find the keys (although probably not considering the choice i made at the end) but tbh. thats not enough incentive to make me carry on playing. a game like oblivion alwasy made you feel like there was something to do. even if there maybe wasnt. fable however spoon feeds you the side quests, so you know you've done them all since theres no longer anything on your "quest" list. a fun game. and im glad i own it. but its definately the biggest dissapointment of the year for me thus far. theres been FAR worse games like too human and haze etc....but those wernt dissapointing since i knew from the get go they where going to be mediocre. with fable 2 i expected greatness and only got "good" in return.

The story kind of kept me going, but the side quests are all in all pretty boring most of the time and the worst thing is that you never EVER need the rewards. I bought my kickass rifle and sword the first time i came to westcliff and never had to change again, and since money basically rains down from the sky and you wade around in exp i just didn't have any motivation left the last 5 hours or so. I don't know...i think i liked fable 1 better all in all in the end. This game was alright but looking back at it, they could, and should, have done a better job i think.

yeah, i get what you mean, the ONLY time i was rewarded in a decent way for going off the beaten track was when i got 2 legendary weapons ( a blunderbuster with like 120 damage, and a sword with 91 damage. a few of them where pretty interesting too, like the one assiciated with the bed at the top of the tower. and the one to do with that captain dread pirate guy. but yeah, most rewarded you with crap you didnt need, or where generally just boring.

That was my favourite one. The ghost pirates and the hunt for his treasure. I totally thought there would be a lot more loot. I never came across a single weapon which was any better than the ones I had purchased. When I realised this I just stopped bothering with the side quests. I was pretty dissapointed with this game. The main quest was far to short.
