The transition to the "menu" is pretty bloody quick, Molyneux might be on to something if they can maintain that fluidity.

LOL, holding a grown man in the hands to take him to the pub, well thats very gay.

I hope thats not the only way of making someone follow you.

Everything else was great, IFable has the only combat system I like in RPGs interms of melee, but now combining it with guns and spells.
Easy to use and fun.

Yeah, it looks like Peter got carried away with the "Touch" functions. Men do not hold hands on the way to the pub to grab a beer. LMAO!

Eh....I suppose we should all be used to this nonsense by now, Fable2 was drowning in all kinds of homoeroticism. Hell there were times when it looked like the NPCs were going to demand sex from the dog by the way the carried on about him.

Anywho, we seemed to have been hit with some new Fable III news today-
Fable 3 for Windows not arriving day-and-date with 360 version

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/02/fable-3-for-wind...

PC gamers will have to delay their journey into the land of Albion for a bit. Microsoft has confirmed today that the Windows version of Lionhead's action RPG Fable 3 will not, as originally planned, arrive on October 26 alongside the Xbox 360 release. "The console and PC versions are now on different schedules as we're focusing on building experiences optimized for each platform," the publisher said in a statement received by Joystiq. "We aren't announcing a ship date for the PC sku at this time, but expect news soon."

Fable III's "Villager Maker" Tool

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/splash/f/fable3/vi...
According to the official site, if you pre-order Fable III you will be able to customize a villager and then import him/her into the game. The customization sounds involved enough as it includes creating a backround story for the villager. Also personality traits, clothing, accent and hairstyles depending on where in Albion you villager comes from.

So..........sounds like fun or a pre-order gimmick? You decide.

I hope this "touch" thing doesnt come in play alot, but I am sure it will, such a shame.
Fable 1 is still the best one, I dont think the 3rd one will be any better.

We Fable fans have tried to drop as many messages as possible over at Lionhead to curb some aspects of dynamic touch but nobody's listening, so it looks like holding hands stays in. It's good that it serves more than one function as the people who you have locked in this hand grip can also be dragged along to be sold into slavery or even dragged to their deaths. So it has it's uses depending on what you're using it for.

Its like Peter is making Fable: The Sims Edition than what it was from the original Fable.
The whole dog, sex, marry, pregnacy, touch...etc. list goes on.

As I said, I hope this "touch" BS doesnt force on you because I hate it already.

Fable was always The Sims Edition of a typical action RPG. Molyneux' heart has always been in meta layer shenanigans, and Fable is very much an RPG coming from people with an RTS/resource management perspective.

Sure you're running around on the ground, but the way you interact with the world is very much "hand of god" like. Only things missing are a cursor, a top down perspective and a sidebar to adjust taxes and assorted meta level things instead of physically walking there.

Simon are you sure? Because I've never felt godlike in any of the Fable games. In the world of Fable YOU'RE THE FOOL OF ALBION.

You're farting, dancing, laughing and generally making a complete spectacle of yourself. Your not the King, you're the jester, the entertainment. Your Hero might as well be leading a carnival. Keeping that in mind has always made the Fable games enjoyable for me. I know better than to get to carried away with the idea of being the King in Fable3, this is Peter Molyneux we're talking about here. lol! There are likely to be more drawbacks than advantages.

What I'm looking forward to is just another opportunity to play in this very colorful and nutty world that Peter keeps tweaking a little better each time he presents it.

Therein lies the problem though right? They attempt to sell it as something else, and something that it's not, which pisses a lot of people off

Me included. With Fable 2 I just had the feeling instead of putting things in that were deep and involving and made sense on a bigger scale, they just put in as much crappy mini-games and silly mechanics just for the sake of saying it's in the game.
Quantity over Quality is the perfect definition of Fable 2 if you ask me.. Although I must say this last video has peaked my interest again (Will I fall for it a 3rd time? Who knows )

Fable 3 sounds like it's actually going to have a real story this time.

Fable 2 had one of the most incomplete feeling stories for a supposed top notch game I'd ever seen. It was just lazy. Fable 3 so far at least looks like it might be what Fable 2 should have been.

Seems there are a lot of interesting story events all over the place.

That might fills me with little faith, this team lost my intrest and the vomit they called Fable 2, shame first one was a great little if "limited" game, second one was a ok "limited"game
Seriously MS all you need to do to make this game the game PM wants it to be is just use the fucking Oblivion engine, use your art style and you would have a great game... until then i dont want corridor based "landscape" its lazy and fucking shit, and NO ammount of fucking story or OMFG "voice talent" will save that.
