Im just curious. Just want to ask why we are free to download all videos here? but in ign or digital foundry all videos are not free to download? and is this site profitting from patreon how?

They're free because that's the service they want to offer. Patreon is a way to help support them for offering free videos... if you want to.

My other question is in my country its allowed to pirate a lot or record pirating games? so does it mean im even aloud to record legal games? sorry im only playing safe.

if you're saying you're allowed to download and record pirated games in your country. why wouldn't you be able to download and record legitimately purchased ones?

Copyright law does not protect ideas; only actual expressions that have come into being as some object or tangible property. Although the artwork creating specific characters and the words that comprise the game dialogue are protected by copyright, the basic game concept or plot is not protected by copyright law. The idea of a band of rebels fighting an evil empire, for example, or the concept of a first-person shooter game, are not within the protections of copyright. Game designers are free to design new games based on these plot concepts, provided that the characters, art and words are substantially different from other games as well as novels and movies and television shows that are protected by copyright.

My question is if my record an moving character models of games i mean as an video file it legal? e.g exmple in intro of battlefield 4 theres an reacting charater models is it legal to record?

copyright exist due to unlawful distribution of content that is not your own.

if i trace a picture of wolverine from a comic book and try to sell it, that is a copyright violation. if i trace the picture and just put it in a folder under my bed. marvel would never know, doesn't need to know, and wouldn't care in the slightest either way. why would they?

you are not distributing anything. it's fine

recording gameplay is neither reproduction of the copyrighted material (you're not reproducing the game, you're recording yourself playing it) or distribution (since recording isn't the same as sharing it online)

At this point, judging on the amount of videos and no commentary gameplays I've seen uploaded to YouTube, I'd say there is only a rare case where someone gets into a lawsuit over recording gameplay. At worst case, the video just gets taken down or deleted off YouTube. 🤔
