Darn right roxwell, man, truly a painting coming to life... so impressed I'm just speechless right now, I must say, even the finest out there(Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain) seem to fade in its glory!!!

Need a video real soon, I guess HipHopGamerShow was right about gow3 transcending the current-gen gaming model :0

If this game will run 60fps (like previous GOW games) with those kind of visuals then I have no more questions.

^^ previous games only run at 30fps most the game, but at some points it went up to 60, even states that in the "making of" section of the god of wars collection on ps3

But yeah going by the demo this is 60 fps locked.

Yes, You're right. Especially GOW2 was running a lot of times under 60fps. But GOW1 was better if talking about frame rate. It was quite long since I played them (maybe my memory made them more smoother).


After this part in jap mag:

"...everything that happened so far in the serie will be resolved in III, which means that in the previous titles, there are important scenes relating to III."

I wonder what will happen with Ares in GOW3.

The demo wasn't locked at 60 by any means, it mostly jumped from 40-60. Still amazing, considering the demo is a year old.

God of War HD.... if it was eaten by God of War Next Gen and the best aspects of both came to the forefront transforming it into the perfect being. No, not Sakaguchi, but close enough! :)

Damn the game looks good.

Didn't they come out and say that 3 would be 30fps locked?

Either way, yes, man, wow, it really looks very very very pretty. For some reason I didn't think it would.. look.. that pretty. I still think that once the camera pulls back and you get crazy enormous boss fights the visual "impression" you get will be one of scale instead of fidelity and I think that will probably justify my initial anticipation that it would "feel" similar to GOW 1 and 2, visually. I didn't really consider the fact that there are quite a lot of more "intimate" visual moments in a GOW tho, and this looks to offer some breathtaking halls and stuff like that.

Chalk another game up on the list of "games with more believably alive looking characters than Heavy Rain" though. For shame, David Cage.

That's SOOOOO far beyond NOT blowing my mind ... what's so mind blowing about those screens ? not to mention the fact that those screens have been doctored to death. Uncharted looks better!!!!

Character models look very good yes but look at the walls and ground ... simple textures at best!

I ve been wanting to say something similar Alimo but I was scared of the flames,people are making to be like if its something of the future in this gen.

I dont know maybe Im not that into super advance graphics or something.

the game is definately one of the PS3's top lookers imo. uncharted looks better (although withough seeing more it's hard to judge) and killzone 2 probably has it beat, but really third best looking game on the PS3. not exactly bad is it. it sure as hell looks better then any other action game out there visually. dante's inferno looks like a PSP game next to this.

Lots of games look better, gow3's been under scrutiny since it was unveiled at the VGA's in 2008 for not really blowing anyone away.

Errrmm... no it doesnt, Gears 2, Resi 5 and AC2 look more impressive than these touched up screens. I'm genuinely surprised at how people are going crazy about the visuals in this game :s

Hell yeah Bayonetta looks more appealing at least to me,more refreshing and espectacular colors,and you would be surprised at the graphics too because in my Plasma looks so crispy and shine and the textures look awesome and far more impressive than this GoW3 images.

Im not saying this looks bad or anything its just not that impressive.

No offense, but your opinion can scarcely be trusted in the matter. You are about as biased as someone could possibly be the second Bayonetta is involved.

I can only compare the demos of each, but GoW was easily more imrpessive than Bayonetta in terms of lighting and textures.

Hey not because I love Bayonetta Im blind,those images are not that impressive and there is others in this very thread who shared that opinion.

But you are correct Im biased and I admit it but at least there is another dude who thinks the same way I do and that dude is nflrules74 as you can see in that post.

So Im not alone ;)

People were this decidedly unimpressed by Killzone 2 screenshots too. It's that thing all over again. I swear, when people don't need to put this in context with the rest of the game - when that is done for them in more telling media or even seeing the game proper, I don't think there'll be any doubt that it's a stunner.

Just look at the character model of Kratos, add what you know about GoW1 and 2, sprinkle that knowledge with environmental and lighting details from these shots and.. yeah. Yep.

since when was gears, AC2 (AC1 looked better btw, less visual glitches and pop-in) and RESI 5 action games? action games are ninja gaiden, god of war, dante's inferno, devil may cry, bayonetta. 2 of the 3 YOU listed are third person shooters, and the other is an action adventure title...lol
