Wait.. that promethean vision crap is an armor ability? Who needs wall hacks these days they just call it a feature.

The sounds are mostly good.

Well, it apparently has a distance limit, and supposedly there are ways for other players to know that someone who has it is nearby. However, 343i hasn't been exactly clear on this specific detail. Some devs have said that if you have the awareness tactical mod, you get a notification sound of some sort, indicating that someone with Promethean Vision is getting closer and closer to you. Whereas other devs have made no mention of needing that mod to get such a notification.

Guess we'll have to see. I also like the visual look of it, so you aren't necessarily getting quite as much environment detail as would commonly be the case with a wallhack of some sort.

Depends on the hack. I've seen screenshots of hacks that look just like this lol.. That all sounds pretty bullshit. I'd have to hear more about awareness, but right now I can't figure out why you'd use anything else. The light shield doesn't look very good. So far I can't say I'm a fan of the new armor abilities. Heck, now that they've given everyone sprint, I think they could have taken them (as well as spawning w/ kits) out completely.

I think I heard him say that power weapons spawn in a fashion similar to power-ups?

No idea, Halo 4 multiplayer is confusing as hell right now lol.

I know this is pretty stupid of me to just be realizing this now, but 343 showed us 3 different kinds of Promethean Knights in the Halo 4 SP playthrough.

The first one that attacked the Chief isn't the same as the second one we killed, and also not the same as the one that attacked the Chief in the end. Their pretty damn distinct design differences between the 3.

The first one is the one that can spawn those watchers to help them in combat. The second one, the one the Chief takes the scattershot forerunner shotgun from, doesn't appear to possess that capability. You'll notice that his design is quite different, specifically the shell looking area on their backs or shoulders, likely a sign that he's the type that can perform that cool looking fast teleport move. It looks almost like the wings on a jet of some sort.

The third and final one that attacked the chief, had glowing orange spike-like things coming out of his back, likely indicating that he has some other unique capabilities. I guess I'm not sure why I'm surprised, as it seemed like pretty standard fair for there to be variations, but I hadn't realized that 343 showed us 3 variations of promethean knights in that one SP walkthrough. Wonder what the heck the Third one is capable of. Obviously not referring to the blue ones, as it was pretty obvious that they had to be different somehow.
