Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

I cant mention anything other than Halo 4 and Gears 3 as best graphical games on 360.
Halo Reach looks nice, but the blurry crap (i will always hate sub-HD visuals no matter what), but the night sniper sequence was wow to me, looks very nice.
But in general it didnt look all that IMO.
Mass Effect 2 and 3 looks decent good, some parts the characters and levels looks like crap but other parts it looks wow, its random with those games.

No two games on the same console this gen have had a graphical leap as big as you are making this one out.
The most striking differences in Halo 4 are the animations. Bungie used keyframing and 343 is using a shit ton of mocap. That's not a graphical difference.
That's funny you say that, because I haven't seen any direct feed of that desert. Have you seen any? And I really didn't think the jungle was the best environment. Tsavo highway was probably my favorite.
Does this mean I didn't love Halo 3? Absolutely not. It remains one of my favorite games, it just doesn't stack up very well graphically to Halo 4. When you compare the two, Halo 3 by comparison, on the same console, does look bad. But then why shouldn't it? The game will be like 5 years older than Halo 4 come this November. Halo 3 is a game that holds up well graphically on its own merits, as a self contained gaming experience, and that's why I defended it as such, especially when you factor in how much larger the battles in Halo 3 are compared to a lot of games out there. However, when you talk about a direct comparison to Halo 4, yet another Halo game, and one that is expected to also have large battles, then it just doesn't seem to be holding up very well in a comparison at all. Halo 3 also clearly lags behind Reach, so it's crazy to think that it would measure up to Halo 4, which honestly looks better than both. However, in Reach's case, at least it does itself more favors in comparison to Halo 4 than is the case for Halo 3.
COD 2 to COD4.
Halo 3 to Halo 4.
Come on, that was too easy. :P
I also personally think there was a big jump between the first and second Uncharted.

Grift, any idiot can see the gap between Halo 3 and Halo 4. Go ahead and watch footage of Halo 3 and then compare it to Halo 4 footage. Or, better yet, just go pop Halo 3 into your 360 and play that, then go look at Halo 4 on your 360 through the gameplay videos available. If after that, you still come away saying that there isn't a big leap between the two, then we probably need to re-evaluate if it's people such as myself who are having trouble being objective on this matter, or if people are so committed to Bungie, that they can't admit that Bungie are simply being outdone in key areas by 343. 343 were suppose to be an incredibly talented team, and it's really showing.
I've pointed this bungie comment out before, but people seem to be ignoring it. Bungie themselves have even admitted that their games were grossly underutilizing the 360's CPU. For a team with as much resources as Bungie had, and for a gaming franchise as big as Halo, isn't there something a little wrong with that picture? Microsoft's biggest first party developer, and after 3 full games on the Xbox 360, they came away still saying their games didn't use the console's CPU properly? So you see, it isn't like what people are saying about Halo 4 compared to previous Halo games has no foundation. Bungie themselves more or less admit that their games didn't even use the 360's cpu properly, and by a significant degree, too, from the sounds of it.

"An even bigger challenge is to future proof the engine so when the next generation of consoles is here, we are already pretty good at squeezing the performance out of it. For example, we want the ability to have a particle system to run on the GPU for the 360, SPU on the PS3, and compute shaders on the future hardware, and this requires good design up front."
The engine will also allow for closer collaboration between programmers and artists. "In the new engine, we place even more emphasis on giving artists direct control over how the game appears, and the majority of our R&D time was spent making technology that makes artist work more efficiently while lowering the technical requirements.
Some may be afraid to admit it, but there is a damn big leap between Halo 3 and Halo 4. Nothing to do with fanboyism, because they are both exclusives on the same damn console. What exactly would a person be a fanboy of? Xbox fanboy? Halo fanboy? Of those two, I would qualify more as a Halo fanboy, but if saying Halo 4 looks far better than Halo 3 makes me a fanboy, then I embrace the label. I'll glady be king of the fanboys :)
And don't tell me that you don't think there's a huge gap between Forza Motorsport 2 and Forza 4, after the way so many people literally tore forza 2 a new a hole on this very forum? :P

While some missions and parts in Halo 3 looked and still look very good (the jungle or tsavo highway) other parts of the game looked shamefully bad.
Especially the very last part of the game, when riding the Warthog. The lighting is shit, theres absolutely no environmental detail and so on.
Another thing that bothered me in Halo 3 and Reach are the pop ups of details.
You can literally see the grass (and other small details) growing around you.
Everything further away than 50 meters looks very dull.
I hope they address this in Halo 4!
