So you won't mind when Halo 5 is strictly Kinect :P? Optimus is only here for the story so he won't care one bit. He'll probably whisper the idea in their ears if it means its truer to the books.

Hell no.., as long as i can play my games as intended with a controller i'm good, kinect can bring dance central and such to the casuals.

You're already content to play with one form of training wheels, so why not another?

Just like you prefer the training wheels of a mouse and keyboard, i prefer the controller simple.

As long as I can play my games as intended (with a mouse), controllers can bring Halo and such to the casuals.

I'm pretty solid with a gamepad for what that's worth. I just thought your anti-but-pro-kinect position was a little too ironic not to poke fun at.

And as long as i can play my game as intended with a controller i'm good also, and if you actually read what i said, you will see i was just agreeing with blackhawk that motion games have made ms and ninty millions, i'm no pro motion fan, so your childish attempt at poking fun means nothing.

You guys knee jerk almost as well as you circle jerk. I'm not sure anyone actually got the point.

The only reason you think the gamepad is "how it was intended" is because that's apparently what you're used to. When you decry that motion controls are simply for "the casuals," you should probably be called on it. Because ya know what? So is your silly gamepad. No one would actually prefer the pad if they were good with the mouse. It's impossible.

Those people are liars and/or scrubs.

But why am I explaining myself? Like you guys care. Carry on with your obnoxious selves.

That's really not what this whole exchange was even about, but sure, let's go there. Do you also prefer riding around in a wheelchair to walking? There are some things that most if not all sane, rational people will agree upon. The superiority of the mouse for first person cameras should be one of those things.

These things are not and will never be equal. If your preference is for a gamepad because you want to slouch over, eating potato chips while you play, and that's more important to you than aiming--then sure--It's absolutely your right to handicap yourself for comfort. Just don't claim that you're not.

No I am not. Nor was I ever. I already considered an extra provision for those people who aren't lying or ignorant about their preference: they're scrubs.

Ugh. Hate the M/k vs. Controller argument. Mouse=better aim. Controller= better movement :P I used to prefer the controller, but now it's a toss up. I still prefer the controller for the analogue and button config, but there is no substitute for a mouse for accuracy. One does not take more skill than the other...

For FPS? No. Not even close. You don't need analog movement and the quickness of the keyboard kills it.

Heck--most console players didn't even seem to notice that you can't sprint and strafe at the same time in BC2. Superior movement? That's also just wrong.

I can't think of a single FPS where analog movement is helpful.

I can see that. Guess I wasn't thinking in just MP FPS lines :p

How does analog movement enhance your SP experience in most FPS games? I don't think most people are walking slower than full tilt in Halo.

More inputs and more fingers to hit them with is an actual advantage and not some imagined one.
