Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

@Ops: Have you watched the first 2 Spartan Ops CG episodes yet?
Man, I'm telling you, I keep playing this campaign over and over, and just can't get enough of it. I can't even decide which mission is my favorite, or which story section is my favorite, but there's no doubt in my mind that reclaimer is most definitely way up there. Especially due in large part to the massive overdose of awesome story content that gets dropped on you in that mission. Also is Halo 4's campaign king of the hill for Halo games where awesome, vehicle based combat sequences are concerned or what? It simply doesn't get much better than that for a Halo game. I remember some incredible sections in Half Life 2 as well.
No matter how many times I play this thing, I'll never get tired of seeing that punk ass Captain Del Rio getting put in his place when he tries to take Cortana away from the Chief. Was a pretty intense scene :)

@redneck -- German voiceovers not synced too good eh? What can ya say, lazy devs :P JK
I'm kinda still surprised how good this game is. I mean, it's an incredible game. Way better than I could have hoped. Eventually, I'm going to create a thread where we just go nuts about all the spoilers in the game's story. For instance, I'm confident I know literally everything the Librarian did to the Chief when she said that she would speed up his evolution. Expect significant, and I mean significant, gameplay changes in Halo 5. The Chief is going to be capable of things during actual gameplay that are unprecedented for a Halo game. Watch and see. Calling it :D
I have never anticipated a book more than I'm now anticipating the final book in the Forerunner trilogy. I was already excited, but I just have to see what comes next after this game, because some of that book will most definitely take place after the events of Halo 4.
@manthatyoufear, to my knowledge, it is indeed the first time he has ever directly disobeyed an order. You could say he did it indirectly once in the book Halo : First Strike. He deliberately withheld crucial intel on the flood involving Sgt. Johnson actually surviving an attempted flood infection. He instead opted to provide ONI with much more limited intel on the flood and what transpired on the first Halo ring. You could say that was in clear violation of any orders the Chief would be placed under. He withheld potentially vital information to the overall war effort, all to save Sgt. Johnson's life, knowing ONI would probably experiment on him like crazy to find out why he survived the flood.

There are a lot of glitches and bugs in Halo 4. You encounter quite a few online. There are some conditions where you can't sprint, or use your armor ability, etc.
It's not awful though. I'm definitely more concerned with design than I am bugs and performance. Plus, sometimes bugs are hilarious.
Whatever sacrifices needed to be made, or whatever steps needed to be taken for efficiency sake, this game looks unbelievable. The art and level design is quite the achievement. I've never stopped so many times to just take a look around and appreciate an environment as much as I've done in this game. Usually this much appreciation from me is reserved for role playing games.

You also have to understand that THEY ARE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR WAKING THE DIDACT. Placing all of humanity in mortal danger. I mean this whole thing with idiot humans running around pressing buttons and not even knowing what the fuck will happen is ridiculous. Last week's Spartan OP summed it up perfectly, humans activating Forerunner tech is like monkeys playing around with nukes. They have to come up with a better strategy than this. Every situation is a potential Pandora's box.

The grunts in the campaign sound like they're pissed all the time, so I decided to make the grunts noise my new ring tone. Sounds like my phone is possessed.

Anyway, I encountered my own glitch today. An Elite got stuck in the wall on a SPOPS mission where you have to elimate all enemies. My friend was convinced we'd have to restart, but I said "Fuck that shit" and found the very tip of its toe or head wtf ever was sticking out with Promethean vision, and obliterated it with a SPLASER. I'M DOING YOUR JOB FOR YOU 343!!

I bursted out loud when he started throwing granades at them lols.
Real Madrid C.F. fan.
It's already ridiculous that they're staggering gameplay altering unlocks to rank 130 (seriously--how can anyone accuse any other shooter of having a worse grind?), but to lock them behind some convoluted promotion is even more absurd.
I want to have rogue ready when I hit level 50. Removing some of the stun/stutter from getting hit could give you a tremendous advantage.
I'm shocked that this game doesn't have a Mountain Dew exclusive ending.
I mean, each one of us here had to have said "holy shit" or been in awe of what we were witnessing in this game at least 3 to 4, likely even more, times. This is the Halo Universe at its absolute best, and it's crazy to think that it's just the start of a new trilogy.
Also, I haven't said nearly enough about the music, but it's fantastic. It's different, but it certainly fits with the overall mood of this game. I'm also not sure if you guys realized, but the new composer paid homage to marty's originl Halo theme during one of the bigger moment during the game. It was subtle, but very noticeable. That very last encounter with the Knights might very well be one of the best close quarters encounters I've had in an FPS. The area is very well setup for that encounter against what I believe had to have been about 4 or 5 Promethean Knights. You're forced to respect the Knights in a different way than you would the Elites, but come that last level when I was just ever so close to the Didact, I was flat out destroying them :D
There's also just no questionthat this game is a huge step up for the storytelling in a Halo game. I've always liked the storytelling, but I've wanted it to be more like the books, and seem as exciting as the books often are at their very best, and boy did they ever deliver on all of that. 343 totally nailed the development for the Chief and Cortana, and did a fairy excellent job of introducing and giving us a little bit of insight into what other characters are like, no doubt because they'll probably have some fairly important role in the fiction going forward. When they said they would explore the Chief's humanity and that Cortana's rampancy would be a major element of the game's story, they weren't just blowing smoke. They did the damn thing :)
