DAY ONE!
As we alluded to earlier, presentation is one of the key traits to L.A. Noire. With groundbreaking graphics, character interaction, character reactions, and delivering a living, breathing open world game environment, Rockstar’s efforts are looking to be paying off at a high level. Those that love television shows like ‘The Closer’, ‘CSI’, or ‘Criminal Minds’ will find that the presentation given in L.A. Noire matches, if not exceeds, those programs and delivers a strong enough narrative and realistic world that those not playing can easily become immersed in the happenings being portray on screen.

It may not have been playable, but, without question, L.A. Noire was the PAX East ‘Game of Show’. That isn’t a knock to any of the other great titles on the expo floor, because there were plenty, but what was shown by L.A. Noire felt revolutionary and has the opportunity to be a true game industry changer. Will it be the 2011 ‘Game of the Year’? It’s too early to tell just yet, but the presentation, gameplay, and narrative progression certainly make it a strong contender.

What David Cage said is interesting, that the Motion Scan technology that Team Bondi uses is only for facial capture, but they're not for the whole body. It's not fully body performance. That's why the character animation looks weird compared to the face. I think that could create a lot of uncanny valley when the game's released.

Watch the LA Noire Tech trailer again, it shows they're in chairs, not capturing any body language.

Yet its still the most impressive facial capture seen in games to date, all the gaming site hands on with the game where blown away with what they played!, guess we will find out in a month if ROCKSTAR have another hit on there hands.

I've only played one actual gun fight, but I'd say more GTA IV. Enemies aren't quite as dynamic since you aren't reliving Heat type show downs but those in the Godfather so it's not as annoying.

WOW!, been reading reviews from my most trusted sites and they all say the facial animation is by far the best this generation, with a great story and atmosphere, Friday can't come soon enough :D

No.
Heavy Rain was pure boring game that had only QTE (I hate QTE in all games).

This one you can actually move around like a 3rd person action game...now and then.

Only thing I like about LA Noir is the facial technology and the setting, but overal its not a game for me.

Can't believe how much this game is pulling me into its world!, its so engrossing with real quality writing and acting. At first i tried to wing it in the investigations, thinking i could always get it right in questioning, i was wrong!, now its all about evidence gathering and that golden Notebook coupled with some good old fashioned intuition, love it :D
