Just because LO looks darker doesn't make it any different when you think about the fact that both games demonstrate turnbased battle on a battle field full of 1000's of enemies.

Since 6830 DaysIn regards to target platforms I'm inclined to think the western oriented character exists soley because it's going on the 360, so I'm not worried that we'll miss out. Square's original character designs have always gone down brilliantly with the Playstation crowd and always will.

If he really was just a game planner I don't think there is much to worry about as I guess he's just one of the guys that decide what type of game its going to be? I know Sakaguchi was listed as an executive producer for bouncer, but its known he pretty much had nothing to do with the game. Action game was probably a bad choice anyway as that wasn't what square was even good at. At any rate who cares I guess as far as I'm concerned he has a clean slate with me, but I'm by no means sold on his game yet I'll pay attention to the media overtime and see if I can be sold on it based on what I see.
I don't have really high expectations, but the game has my attention is all I can say. He's done mostly graphics related work for other games, but maybe he has a really good vision for a game now and believes he can deliver on it.

Since 6830 DaysHonestly though, bring on RPGs of whatever quality. This might turn out great or it might turn out average, but it's still an RPG, by Square. It gives the platform credibility for the genre and it works towards that "RPG climate" I've been yapping about.
Enchanted Arms apparently wasn't life-altering, but I still wager a lot of people had fun with it and wouldn't mind another one even though it's similarly unspectacular. This is really just a win-win situation either way.
Because honestly, there's no chance this'll be proper awful.
