Pfft, people are so impatient nowadays. Do you guys complain this much in real life when you're in an elevator?

Oh, come on. Take the joke. Take it!
I know that the elevators never bothered me. I'm not exactly getting what the complaint or even minor annoyance is. We all know that it facilitated level loading, which means it's remains in because it's a necessity.

If you've been yearning for a new BioWare RPG, pretty soon you might be overwhelmed with possibilities, as BioWare revealed at Electronic Arts' GamesCom press conference that Mass Effect 2 will be releasing "just a few months" after Dragon Age: Origins drops in early November. It's a slightly more specific release date than "early 2010," as EA has been previously telling everyone.

GamesCom also set the stage for a new character reveal: Grunt, described as a "blood-hungry" Krogan who has "never faced true defeat" and could prove a valuable asset for Commander Shepard, but only if he can be "tamed." Discovering who you can trust seems a central theme this time.

BioWare promises more character reveals leading up to the release of Mass Effect 2.

Wrex just can't be beaten. Too bad Bioware scrapped the entire team from ME1, they could have left at least fan favorite characters like they did going from BG1 to BG2. :/

If Ashley is back im cool, she has to be in my party. I made out with her, it would be wrong of me not to have her in my part this time :P

I use Wrex as a tank.
Great at fighting back, pretty much a fire power and a shield for me.

Could not have put it better myself.

Just finished ME1 and Wrex did not make it, so i'm glad to see Grunt looks just as badass :)

arnt all the last games characters pretty much excluded from partying with you in this game....which is pretty much the most stupid decision i've ever heard if it's true. it'd be like playing gears of war but leaving dom out except for a few cutscenes.

He doesn't strike me as a person with honor. Wrex had honor and integrity. I can see Grunt being the type that betrays me in the end. Thane, as dangerous as he looks, at least strikes me as someone who has principles and lives by a code.

Best RPG this generation...so far, for me!

Real time combat (most important thing for me in a RPG), customization, heavy sci-fi, great music, cinematic feel, amazing visuals and tricks (like the strong light ray or whatever its called), definitely my type of RPG.

Hopefully ME2 still delivers on that, and much more.

Precisely, which should tell us something shouldn't it? Assassins AREN'T crusaders, they don't just join up and fight wars unless fighting that war serves as a means to accomplishing their goals.

So Thane is either-

#1- Hired as a bodyguard by someone (with aligned interests) to keep Shepard safe long enough for him to finish his mission
#2- Hired as an Assassin to get himself recruited and tag along to eventually kill Shepard IF he gets too close to carrying out his mission
#3- A person with a personal stake in what Shepard is trying to accomplish with his mission

So I would trust the Krogan before I would trust Thane.
