realy!!! have you seen the SAW franchise movies?

thats pure gore, disgusting in everyway. there times you turn away from the screen because you can't stand it
Yeah, I've seen the Saw movies unfortunately. I didn't like them at all, but I appreciated what the first one was doing. But yeah, I'd still have to say Rambo IV is gorier. Even though the idea behind is a bit ridiculous, it still seems more realistic than what's happening in any of the Saw movies.

That's just shock value. I don't consider them that gore. For example, I thought the first Hostel movie was far more disturbing than all of SAW combined. It was the first time I left a theater feeling really bad about what I had just seen, plus I had to write a review for it ! (free ticket on the other way).

If you want a really gory movie, check out Das Komabrutale Duell. It's awful though, and barely watchable. Trailer (must be registered) <1a48>http://youtube.com/watch?v=1Bc20-2xOa8. It's also quite "funny".

Guinea Pig movies
etc.

I haven't seen Rambo IV yet, but I vote Blood Feast 2: All You Can Eat, for bloodiest movie I have seen.

It's pretty comical though, and you need to watch it with a low budget attitude :D

I just remind myself that it's not real. That part in Hostel one where the chicks eye falls out and is then severed didn't bother me cause it looked so ridiculous.

Rambo is definitely not a movie I'd rate as goriest, but it's definitely really realistic
Goriest goes to something like Dead Alive

Just watched Cloverfield. It has a pretty tedious start, but I think that it is intended to try and add to the realism. When it got good, it got really good in my opinion.

Although, I think that films are in a sense much scarier or have a bigger impact when you can't see the monster in question. I think that the monster/creature wasn't particularly well done but was good enough to maintain an effect.

Overall, I felt it was a good film and I enjoyed it.

I liked Cloverfield simply because it got pretty creative with monsters and other various things
Also I enjoyed the fact that people exploded in it when they were bitten/stabbed

Yeah, the exploding people were pretty cool. Although it only happened once ... and to a moderately 'fit' girl as well.

Overall, I did enjoy the movie though. It did give off this realistic vibe, which only added to the spectacle.

But Dead Alive is so cheesy, not serious, and has really fake gore. All of those things bring it's gore factor down for me. The tone and the more realistic nature of the gore in Rambo bring its gore factor up.

Haha...yeah, that was awesome! It wasn't blown clean off and was still attached enough that falling on it looked super painful.

They did a horrible job on that.
I'm sure it was a top notch prosthetic and all, but it needed another ten layers of makeup to make it anywhere near believable.

Good flick though.

^^That was on TV not long ago. I really like that film.

I watched In Bruges not too long ago (I lie it was like a month but the film is awesome so it deserves a mention). Brilliant flick, pretty dark humour if you like that kind of thing.

Saw The Incredible Hulk last night. It was awesome and had better action than Iron Man (not a huge feat mind you). It took itself seriously enough and backed it up with some good acting.
