Matrix Reloaded (Matrix2), decided to check out some of the special effects for a project. The story still blows my mind. Eastern philosophy meets Christianity meets awesome special fx.

Yeah, I've been watching these idiots since the CKY tapes. I think Jackass 2 was a little better, but honestly, I don't know how true that is. It's not the sort of thing where the little touches really stick with you. It just seems like maybe some bits could have been explored a bit more. It made me wonder if the cost of the 3D tech wasn't a factor in figuring out what they could do. But that could have just been a bias I had entering the experience. I thought it was fun though, though there's one scene in particularly that's a little too obscene for my taste.. well.. sorta.

Considering how old Knoxville is getting, he really doesn't hold anything back.
Oh man. I loved it. I never want the movies to end. Personally I find it to be non stop entertainment. I could do without the poop fountain. Is that what you are talking about?

Hey, I saw that about a year ago and it's exactly as you say.

I've been wanting to catch up on more "foreign" horror movies lately;
I just have to be in the right mood to read/watch, which usually entails having a few cups of coffee.

Just saw Scott Pilgrim. It was awesome. Why do people not like it? What's there not's to like? The story is basic but works, the characters are good, the art style is original and the action is great. It was jsut good all the way through.

People do like it. It's been critically acclaimed, and it has a pretty sizable fan base. It just flopped in the theaters. I adore it. My favorite movie of 2010.

Yeah, but if it bombed at the boxoffice that must mean that a lot of people didn't like it. Then again, people in general being complete ass hats is nothing new so i shouldn't be surprised i guess.

just watched Hot Fuzz, which was a very funny movie. Good stuff.

It bombed because people didn't go see it. If they didn't go see it, how would they know if they liked it?

Hot Fuzz is great, as is Shawn of The Dead. Edgar Wright just sorta rules.

I still don't think you're making any sense. Impressions from people who had seen it have been almost globally positive, and it was the best reviewed movie the week it came out. It failed to do well on its opening night, and word of mouth can't have much of an impact on that, can it? Poor marketing and silly preconceptions hurt Scott Pilgrim at the box office. People may have very well made up their mind without having seen it, but it wasn't because people who had told them it was bad.

The first 20 minutes were just fun to watch. Some kids on an outing in Ireland, hunting for some psychedelic mushrooms.
Typical young people, fun drama party crap.

The next 40 minutes is very cliche spook/horror stuff, which leads up to a satisfying 20 minutes of actual suspense, the final 5 minutes of which I wasn't expecting.

Good movie, just bored me a bit throughout the middle, and the mushroom twist made for some head scratching as to how it would really play out.
However, it all turned out pretty okay.

Well made movie; I like the camera work, ambiance, and acting.
Just, in hindsight, it's a bit more "been there done that" than I would have liked. If it weren't for the mushrooms I would have seen the ending coming a mile away.

So hey, they tricked me at least (into a predictable movie, but whatever).

just noticed some of the stupid stuff on the cover of the movie:

"Blair Witch on Acid" not even close to being even remotely close to remotely true

Or howabout "Get ready to get wasted!". Uh, nobody really knows if anybody is wasted in this movie. It tries too hard to be a horror movie.

Watched Paranormal Activity yesterday evening (In the dark with the girlfriend
I actually enjoyed it and had a couple of goosebumps moments.

Yeah I would recommend watching this if you're looking for a scare

Just watched Splice, and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised. I had expected a cheesy monster film type of deal but it was both dramatic and suspensfull at times. The ending was a little "meh" but all in all it was a lot better than i had expected :)

Made it a double feature. Just finished watching Defendor. Also a surprising movie. From what i can remember from the trailer i expected a comedy, and while it certainly was funny at points it was a pretty sad movie overall. I totally recommend it though, it was good :)
