We will see. Im really looking forward to this game, Locoroco, is still my top game for PSP :D
I think it put me off with it being in 2D, after playing it on the PS2 in 3D it kind of feels a bit alien to play in 2D, if you like it you should deffinately try the PS2 game out, it has some of the best visuals I have seen on the PS2.
Marumaro for the WIN !!

I actually picked this up after having been at my mate's (who's an absolutely out of control pirate, by the way, and doesn't play half of the games he downloads and burns on a whim) and seeing about half an hour of the PS2 game.
Anyway, I wasn't overly keen on the sort of generic looking characters, but the combat really seemed different (and bear in mind I haven't played an awful lot of RPGs when I say that) so when I saw Lenneth at GAME for cheap it clicked perfectly with my hunt for a handheld RPG experience.
I was sitting here playing it expecting the PS2 game to be a sequel, but you're saying it's another remake? :O
I was actually considering FFT but I'm really gonna need super interesting worlds and stories to keep at it long enough to appreciate the combat. With Valkyie Profile I found the combat immediately intriguing, but with Tactics I'm afraid I'll lose interest before it grows on me. I got admirably far in FF12, I'm on my way through the desert after having visited that warrior village, but then I stopped playing it because of.. I dunno.. I think Sega Rally came out and a few others and they sort of tackled me out of it, never to really return. I hope to have a sit down and get into it again one of these days, because I think a lot of the characters are pretty great in it. Balthier and Fran, and Basch in particular.
But the story is very political, which is also pretty interesting to me once things started heating up.. but man, I survived soley on the determination to GET INTO jRPGS AT ANY COST in the beginning. I don't have quite that kind of steam now, so Tactics is a daunting experience.
The same can be said for Disgaea, which is basically pastiche on games like that, a crazy, over the top (and way over my head) parody that I'd love to play once I can appreciate it.
A good friend of mine, Dominic, is really fond of Disgaea though so I will get into it eventually. He's also told me to run out and get Persona 3, and after a quick try at it at my insane pirate friend's I'm really keen to do so. Because of circumstances with how I'm at my studio A LOT these days (gotta finish that horror graphic novel!) handheld stuff is perfect though, and Persona 3 will have to wait.
Hey, I'm just like you. I put my pants on one leg at a - dammit, I knew I forgot something today.
Btw, you guys should get Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, its AWSOME! Last summer i couldnt stop playing it.
I even sat there for 20mins reading those bull crap tutorials. It'd take a couple hours to go through all of them. Do they really expect people not majoring in Strategy RPGs to read this much? Half the stuff they talked about, equipment, using items, didn't even work. I couldn't equip shit. Called up the menu before getting into battle, pressed the buttons the little tutorial butler said to, and no response. What gives?!
In short, this just wasn't my genre. I don't get it. I don't know if I want to get it. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it. I need to go buy a used copy of Front Mission 3 to sooth my ego. I was a tactical genius in that game. I don't see why you love this game Kenshin.
Just because a potion restores health, doesn't mean it doesn't kill brain cells. Don't do drugs. Only you can prevent abstinence. Or something.
