Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

But I kinda like it. I don't think pub stomping is a ton of fun.
Rainbow Six is the same situation, although you can kinda solo in that if you're good enough
It gets more complicated when it's reliant not only skill but character composition. I haven't really played many games like that since I never got into the moba scene at all.
It's still real early too so people are only learning one or two basic combos.
I see the Bastion w/ Reinhardt team up A LOT in pubs now
Another reason I love the 1v1 experience.
There's a reason FFA arena games aren't popular anymore. It's harder on your own.
You should give SMITE or maybe Paragon a try if you're interested in checking out a MOBA but less interested in RTS interfaces. Smite is great and the arena mode provides an easy point of entry for new players. And it's free.
Its easy to blame the tram, but some times you just get matched with odiots as well. Seems to me to be extra common in OW as it has a gazillion olayers, most of which i imagine syck donkey nards.
Cake or death!?
I guess you're at the mercy of your team more explicitly in Overwatch than some other team games.. a little.
Match making is a bit of a double-edged sword I guess.
You can run the right offensive character but if your team doesn't understand how to compliment your character, or another viable counter it's a huge detriment.
Most teammates don't understand why you're getting run out of town and don't switch around. Though I do agree it's getting better as we level up naturally
I do like this aspect of the game too, I should mention
My earlier comment was mostly that when you're reliant on strangers it is a gamble in games structured as such
I don't want to derail the thread but there have been many great releases this year. My favorites so far have been Street Fighter V, Overwatch, and Doom. But there's been some action in the "AAA" console space as well with stuff like Uncharted and Quantum Break. And there's more coming. I'm also looking forward to Civilization 6 and Battlefield 1 as far as big brands go. There's lots of good stuff for gamers in 2016.
Maybe we got the icing before the cake :D
More talk on competitive play and latency
I've not noticed latency issues yet I don't think, however with Roadhog sometimes you get hooked around objects or even through objects.
Is this a design choice, latency, or something that needs to get fixed?
You guys experience this as well?

The netcode isn't perfect. It is known.
There have been like two hot-fixes so far today.
The hook shouldn't go through objects

This game is taking over my life!!!
Finally got into some crazy ass games last night. No one was really successful pushing payload on either side in multiple maps. Though our team did push the farthest!
No one won tho
Overwatch doesn't always shoot where you aim.

They should probably fix that.
It won't save you from getting shot out of the sky with Pharah unfortunately :D

I hope they tune them.
That said... your relative aim still matters. It just reduces the skill ceiling. Amazingly some people still can't kill.
