The new Prince of Persia feels in every way a successor to Sands of Time. Despite the numerous changes, Ubisoft Montreal managed to keep the essence of POP intact. While longtime Prince fans may have trouble adjusting to the new visual style and combat system, we think they'll come around. Once you see Prince in action, you'll get it.

We'll have more on Prince of Persia and specifically Elika's role on Wednesday, May 28.

Saw it yesterday very cool.

But wasent it confirmed the next title would be for Wii?

I hope its the next-gen version for 360 and PS3, I would instantly get excited :P

The PoP titles makes me happy being a persian, just wish I could do the things the prince can do, and whats ironic is, my real name means "prince" in arabic.

I read the new details about the game, great stuff.
I even saw the scans and it seems to take a unique looking art with the graphics. A bit of cellshaded type or drawing, very cool.

I hope today (29th here) for Ubidays we get to see a teaser or a trailer for it :D

Perhaps not the most exciting screenshot in itself but man the STYLE! WOOOO!! You better tell me or ask me whatever you feel like you need to NOW because when they release screens of skylines and stuff I'm gonna die instantly from too much awesomeness.

I'm not sure that's true. The French article says that the game is now top priority at Ubi and people from teams get to work (R6, GRAW, AC) on this game, but looking at the most important names in the article I don't remember them from Sands of Time credits (could check at mobygames if needed) but certainly the main guy (Patrice Desilet) behind Sands of Time is working on something different, AC2 probably. Not that it matters though.

Well, that's a given, at least part of that team.

I would rather have their best people working on execution. ;] I guess they work on both phases, maybe perhaps their best people consult and overview what people in other teams are doing.

Anyway enough of this, it doesn't really matter anyway. I like the art style, idea of fewer but more interesting to fight enemies and the mythology seems interesting, too. I have my fingers crossed.

Looks really nice and the cell shaded graphics may gonna gives the game a new and better art style IMO. Cant wait really.
I do not know why always people complain about Ubi. Ii think they are one of the best companies out there and that they have some of the best developement teams. I always enjoy their games (yes even their expanded versions like GRAW 2 and RS Vegas 2).
I think I am becoming more casual .

You've complained about the lack of platfomers this generation, and you don't care about one of the better platformer franchises from last generation? Come on now! Sands of Time was excellent, and the sequels weren't nearly as deserving of the harsh criticism they've received as some people might have you believe.

Between this and the new Tomb Raider, I'll be in platform heaven :)
