Yea I agree Co-op doesn't belong here, but I don't think Co-op was a good thing for RE5 either.

I'm not a fan of online gaming at the best of times, but when dev's start forcing co-op into games that have been single player for so long it ruins the expereice, I duno why they just don't make a new IP (granted RE has been screwed since 4 meh)

wow, that developer walkthrough was AMAZING. I was never a fan of the PoP games, but I'll certainly give this one a try!

Oh and I agree with the no co-op thing. Not specifically in PoP but in games generally. I absolutely hate it when people bitch and moan if a game like (let's say) Ninja Gaiden or Resident Evil doesn't have 4 player online co-op...Cooperative play works only if implemented in the right kind of game, having it in the above mentioned games would ruin the balance and overall experience.

I dont think RE4 was screwed really, it just lost a LITTLE bit of its atmosphere but what the total package offers is simply an unrivalled experience. I was a bit worried about Co-op in RE but after seeing some of the videos, I think it works pretty well and given that it doesnt work locally apprently, it should be fine (I JUST HATE SPLIT SCREEN!) - I just love that you can help out your co-op partner when he's being stangled by an enemy, I think it adds so much more to the experience!

Which from what I read that when you aren't in co-op you have a AI player in single player, there are several videos I have seen where your computer played character gets it trouble and shouts out for help, which means you gota baby sit a stupid AI character now, just ruins the game for me TBH.

I think Capcom were obviously influenced by Gears.

Well we were baby sitting what's her name in RE4 and I think that adds to the experience in a *survival* horror game, dont you think ?funny how the total opposite is true for Prince of Persia but they are totally different genres.

I agree with you here, i love the whole coop implementation in the vids i've seen for re5 and i cant wait to play it online with a mate.

You weren't baby sitting her all the time, much of the time she was kidnapped, and the other part you played as her, there is a big difference.

Many RE games have touch on co-op by switching characters RE0 for example, I'm not all against the co-op I suppose I just think they should have made it so your didn't have to rely on it in SP.

Plus I dont' really need a crappy player geting in trouble all the time over XBL either lol.

Anyway back to POP lets hope if they do go Co-op they do a better job at keeping the SP and Co-op seperate.

Although it was nothing new, at least it wasn't just a video on that TV screen. That was actually a live demo, and we got to see some more combat moves.

PoP is rather ipressive. I liked the art right from the start and it really is great. This is an instant buy from me.

He got taste, but some music just doesn't fit the visual theme and setting, and this case a ancient fantasy with modern slow with even lyrics music.

They need me to choose their tracks, or...they could just use their own composer for original music for their trailers, would be much better.

I like it because it doesn't fit. It lends contrast.

If they have this angry looking thing with angry music, that's just boring. Look at the Gears trailer with the "Mad world" song, it set an AWESOME mood.

To me contrast like that is way more appreciated than just going with some generic oriental stuff. It's not like the music will be used in the actual game.

Then again, we disagreed about the old Assassin's Creed trailer aswell. The one with the "God bless you lonely souls" or some such lyrics. Awesomeness to me, but.. yeah. Opinion and everything.

I still hold my ground and say they need to use orchestra for such type of games, makes it more intense and cinematic.

Orchestra music have tons of really emotional music that makes you cry, so adding a emotional orchestra to such a game is better, it feels like its a trailer for animated movie.

But this is what I want in games, cinematic feeling, epic or not, just use what fits the mood, setting and theme of the game.

Good thing I turned the volume down and took a great track from The Two Thrones in the background while watching the trailer, was fantastic.

Simon wins! The track is Lonely Soul from Unkle, btw. And I recommend him to everyone, great artist.

edit: I have to disagree with you Sath. You can't follow the same formula as the mainstream and expect to come up with something outstanding, because it'd be just a copy of a copy and so on... going new ways is how artists create memoreable things. And if you have nothing new to offer, you pretend to be fresh and new. That trailer did excatly that, and their PR does a great job at avertising their new games.

It works on me (and I guess on many other people) and I'm already making a connection between this game and the music. That's what I felt when I saw the AC trailer, too. Everytime I started the game I had this song in mind, and everytime I hear the song I had the game in mind. Same with the "Mad World" trailer of GoW. People went crazy about this song suddenly and "bought" it and were instant customers just because of the song. I don't think it works on everyone, you prolly have to like the song first or just have a lot of passion for music....
