Inscrit depuis 7645 JoursYou know your game will be nothing special when it is single player only and 8 hours long. Your main mechanic in the whole game is not well implemented, the technical side lacks the polish to bring it to that next level (another feature bragged about), the AI is SEVERELY lacking, and your level design is also average.
I think these are all valid reasons, and ALL these things you can see in the demo. These are PROBLEMS, if you don't think of them as such, good for you, but these are PROBLEMS with the game, and thus the scores.
Mods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!

"You know your game will be nothing special when it is single player only and 8 hours long."
Really? :S
Some people can let go of some issues in a game but see the game as a whole and see the fun factor of it and still have fun and say their purchase was worth it.
But whatever, I woouldnt even care if they gave it a 4/10, i would still buy it because i had alot of fun with the demo itself, and that was like 10 minutes or so.
And if I had so much fun in 10 minutes with a demo that barely gave me any of the cooler force powers, I cant imagine how much fun I will have with the full game.

Inscrit depuis 7389 JoursYou mean there are codes to play as Mace Windu and Darth Vader as character skins...for the next gen versions?
Now I want Darth Maul only because he has cool acrobatic moves while fighting and he got double edged lightsaber :)
This got more interesting :D
Yoda please! :D
PS. Got a link to this info?

-MANDALORE: General Rahm Kota
-WOOKIEE: Kento's Robe
-DANTOOINE: Ceremonial Jedi Robes*
-KORRIBAN: Sith Stalker Armor*
-HOLOCRON: Sith Robes
-MARAJADE: New combo*
-LIGHTSABER: Amplified damage
-KATARN: Increase force powers to maximum level*
-SITHLORD - Get Darth Vader*
-JEDIMASTER - Get Mace Windu*
* = New codes.
I wonder what the new combo does, I hope it's something very cool.
About Darth Vader code, I don't know what they have done with him once you get to play with him in the rest of the game.
He will either probably be slow with his own voice and have force choke, or...be exactly like Starkiller but a Vader skin slapped on him.
I hope on the first one.

I guess it's pure luck for some, hope LA fixes this with a patch.
Remember that NG2 had a cutscene freezing issue and it took shitload of time to fix it with a patch, so I don't think LA will let this one slip...I hope.
I hope I don't run into this problem.
Let me ask you this then...can you atleast play the other difficaulties and gain everything and save it, and still have the Sith Lord difficaulty save slot for maybe a future patch?

Bitches!!
Inscrit depuis 7389 JoursWell we both have to wait 2 more days days (friday) to get it.
BTW...GameInformer gave the game 8.75 for the game.
They still say there are glitches and problems (like any other game).
But they did say if you are a hardcore Star Wars fan and love to feel like a badass "dark jedi" with the force powers, this is the one.
Now I love 3rd person action games and I love star Wars...this will be perfect for me until future titles with similair combat system gets out.
They are even thinking of making The Force Unleashed 2 in the future.
Anyway, I am gonna watch A New Hope today and then tomorrow night I will be watching Revenge of the Sith, then it's friday and the game will be mine :)

Inscrit depuis 7389 JoursAny sort of gameplay breaker with glitches?
Like the problem with "Default Text"...if not, then there is a chance that not everyone is gonna get it.
One thing I didn't like was the fact that some grounds like the ones in Raxus Prime are considered "one hit death" falls...a bit shame really.
Barber, I might as well ask you...did you find any orange colored lightsaber?
I know there is "gold" and that is considered "yellow"...but I have seen orange color too, but I want to know what I should do to get that color.

It's just annoying to spend all that time collecting holocrons and you just get cheated out of the achievement.
People on the PS3 forums are saying they're getting it too, though there aren't any trophies so it's not as big a deal.
This game could have used a few more weeks of bug squashing.
Inscrit depuis 7389 JoursI thought the problem was that you couldnt keep what you gained if that happens and the game wouldnt save or something.
But if it's something that troubles the achievement, then I am good to go on the PS3 hehe.
But this still means they need to patch it though, but for the PS3 owners it's not something to care about.
*A New Form of Change*
Inscrit depuis 7389 JoursI say it's great...with flaws here and there.
The bad:
- Glitches...like sometimes you cant kill regular stormtrooper even if you are next to them.
You jumping out of the level (happened to me once in Raxus Prime).
- Enemies can hit you when you are in combo, throw, on the ground...annoying!
- Long loading screens (but sometimes fast depending on which option menu you are going in)
- Taking down the Star Destroyer that was such a pain to do. Something that epic, you pretty much expected something better in terms of gameplay to do so...dissapointing.
The Good:
- Crazy force powers that was not so much in the beginning, but once you max them out and know how to use them properly and in combat it looks so cool and scripted, like a cutscene :)
- Cool various combos you can make to take out the enemy. Sometimes you have to figure out which combo and force powers it takes to take them out, lightning isn't always the best solution.
- Cool QTE's in boss fights.
- Gives you a big challenge (I played on Sith Warrior, so I know i am gonna get my ass kicked on Sith Lord and Sith Master)
- Cool kits...outfits and lightsabers. There is a huge variety in the costume department...you gain new outfit in each level you get to, with 3-4 or so secret ones you have to gain from finding holocrons.
Lightsabers...well there are colors and then there are visual effects for the lightsabers like the lightsaber is pulsing like a shockwave, default and on that has a wavy look...3 looks.
- Very good story that ties between 3 and 4...not gonna spoil it but it's good (atleast I thought it was).
- Good music :)
- Amazing cool looking force power counter attacks!
Once you go into a force counter attack with another force wielder the visuals of they fighting for the power (you press fast buttons) it looks awesome!
Kind of like how Yoda was fighting Darth Sidious and they were both countering the lightning :D
Now I played the entire day yesterday and I didn't finish it in 8 hours...I started playing it around 11:30 and ended around 21:00...it was around 10-11 hours.
But I was trying to master the combos, figuring out the enemies and bosses and finding the secrets.
It's not a glitchy clusterfest, but the glitches will come, now and then...sometimes you won't even get one for hours (which I luckly got)
It was fun, it just depends if you are a "hardcore" Star Wars fan and a 3rd person hack and slash fan...this is the best you get...for now.
I hope LucasArts releases a patch or something to these long loading times, glitches...etc. will vanish because there has been alot of request for it...and trophies for PS3 (which I dont mind).
Me personally, I really liked it, and I am gonna continue for some replay because I didn't find alot of the stuff I wanted, and I didn't even max out my force powers...so a second run is needed for me...and some.
One thing I don't like is that it automatically saves for you, I wanted to manually save it...I don't know if it's possible or not.
In terms of my "kit" is the white "Altair" like outfit called "Jedi Adventure Robe" and Orange "gold" lightsaber.
But I do love that Corellian Flight Suit, really me :)
Reminds me of the Knights of the Old Republic era and has that jedi exile and now a regular person type.
Anyway, I would give it a 8/10...the missing 2 points is for the glitches (in general) and they could slightly do more with the combat.
They are already thinking of The Force Unleashed 2, so I hope they do because it has big potential...they just need to polish their title up!

Inscrit depuis 7516 JoursThe content will be coming to be the 360 and PS3 version of the game. No specific date or prices have yet been set for the downloadable content.
In the coming months Lucas Arts will release a downloadable content pack featuring additional costumes and character models that can be used to play through the single-player campaign. The new models will include Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Kit Fisto.
The skins we decided to release were "based on what we heard from fans," Blackman said. "But some were from us. We thought Ki-Adi-Mundi or Kiit Fisto would be exciting to see running around in our game."
While the new skins simply give you a new way to play through the existing content, the new level will be played out on a beefy new map and includes quite a bit more plot.
Due out later this year, the new single-player mission is set in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice travels to the temple to learn more about his father, and while searching through the rubble of the destroyed building he confronts his inner demons.
The level seems to fit in nicely with a moment in the original game when the Apprentice comes face to face with the ghost of his father. I asked Blackman if that was done deliberately, or if that confrontation would be where players would jump off into the new adventure.
"That was a scene we had written into the script to suggest that the apprentice was getting more into his background and in touch with his childhood," Blackman said. "It's in there to remind the player that the apprentice had come from a jedi father that he wasn’t always evil. It coincides nicely with him beginning to question working for Vader."
Blackman said the team talked about having that moment be the jumping off point for the new adventure, but in the end decided it wasn't feasible.
"We wanted players to be able to access it immediately when they download it," he said. "So it’s an added level. A separate campaign."
The new campaign's map is smaller than The Force Unleashed giant level on the junk planet Raxis Prime, he said, but it's larger than Cloud City.
"We hope it hits the sweet spot for size."
This new location, which appears in a different form in both the PSP and PS2 versions of the game, was one of about eight that the teamed talked about including in the final game, but didn't make the cut for one reason or another.
"We had a list of 20 locations in our exploration phase," he said. "Those got whittled down. Which ones were viable and which weren't. The temple hung on and hung on and hung on. We had to make cuts right before production and it was one of those."
And Blackman said it's entirely possible that the internal development team working on this new DLC will continue to work on new episodes, that The Force Unleashed could essentially become a delivery system for episodic content.
"We brainstormed a ton of locations," he said. "There's easily another two dozen we could make into levels. This is a good way to continue the story."
"I wouldn't rule out any future content on The Force Unleashed."
This new content also makes the game that much more replayable, something that could potentially help bump it from a rental to a purchase.
"We hope gamers hold onto the game anyway," Blackman said. "There is already a lot of replayability built into it. There is quite a lot of exploration you can do. If you enjoy the story, the gameplay, the first time through, though, you should enjoy this."
Inscrit depuis 7415 JoursReally fun game all around and the QTEs that kick in at the end of boss battles are truly impressive.
I'm really digging the overall story, wish it were an actual movie so I could just sit back and enjoy it all. A nice number of combos, I never get tired of them and I feel as if there are more than enough to keep me satisfied and the game can really be quite challenging at times.
The jedi fights are impressive, the game has fantastic production values. Great voice acting, I have quite a bit of praise for the game. Didn't think it would be this good.
Hironobu Sakaguchi is coming back to reclaim the throne :)
Seeing it in motion on your HDTV, will blow your mind!!
