Blmbox...because that is what they are.

One person work on a website, they review it, upload it and people read it and add it to their "review for ??? game".

I rather take a normal gamer such as me and you and take that into account rather a website.

I only take website reviews if they have videos to back up the games flaws...but other than that, I just play the demo 8if there is any) or go with my gut, simple.
Critics aren't gamers, lol.

Critics are meant to be critical of a game, not be on a "I just paid 40 quid for this I better like it!" or "I really love Star Wars I hope they didn't cock it up completely this time!" high.

You should always be able to add and subtract points from a review as a consumer, you'll know if the subject matter weighs up for otherwise rather uninspired action. Critics - when halfway clever - should set you up with the tools to determine that.

After having played the demo through a number of times I think a 7 for this sounds perfectly reasonable. I also know that some of my personal faves hover somewhere around that average, and what they lack in sheer spectacle they make up for by knowing which way to rub me.

I am not saying the 360 is inferior...it's just too dark compared to the Ps3 version.
I usualy tone down the brightness on PS3 2-4 times as well so it doesn't look all washed out.

But both look great on their own for sure.

BTW...the previous post of mine wasen't the "ultimate good" outfit, its "father outfit" (cheat: WOOKIE).

I apologize for every banning you! ;) That said, you probably don't want to hear my general game comments seeing as I am uber critical, hard to please, and have a very limited scope of gaming interest (American sports, racing games, shooters ... a strong like for MP, especially MP that allows various classes, teamwork, and objective focused gameplay to allow a wide array of styles and interests ... distaste for stale gameplay/genres that do little to address core deficencies of the genre and often pale in quality to older premium titles, and so forth.)

I totally agree with the fact consumers need to be able to add/substract points based on preference. If I am a total SW geek I can +20% to the score if SW allows me to overlook shortcomings. But unless you are a SWs fan site, NO REVIEWER ever should "fudge" the score due to such. Yes, if a license/brand adds to the story, quality, etc then yes. But if it is just the license / consumer infused backstory/nastolgia that is impacting the impression then no (unless you have some sort of tilt; e.g. 70% score, 90% if you are a SW geek, 50% if you not a fan of the genre/license).

Someday, alongside writing my own Game Design Docs I would love to fiddle with a review system. I once did reviews and show a lot of shortcomings in how the media addresses them. The old school "4 reviewers" method is a good start actually, especially if it was ammended adapted for genre likes/dislikes and such. e.g. Mixing in a group of "consumers" of hardcore (twitch), casual, story centered/thinking mans gamer, and "I hate every game" reviewers (+ bonus: genre/license fan tilt) could paint an interesting picture. e.g. If I am a casual and see that everyone but the hardcore gamer likes the title then cool. If I see that the casual gamer hates the camera and the hardcore gamer thinks it is shallow, but the license/genre has mass appeal it fleshes out a solid picture.

That is the problem debating scores online ... I have no clue where you as a consumer are coming from.

Me, personally, I am the "I hate every game" type but give a nod toward individual prefernce and tastes (i.e. I may hate it, but I can see why you love it). Although I have given up with Sath and only can conclude: If I hate it, he loves it. If he likes it, I will be suspicious! He is the anti-Ban Bot :P

I already posted the blacklightsaber link...and I have been checking out the other link for a few hours now.

I seriously can't wait for the game. The guy has changed so many outfits, so many lightsaber colors, shown some very cool force powers, showned very very tough enemies...it looks very good, really can't wait to buy it now.
Some of those outfits looks amazingly good...I am surprised how good the Ultimate Evil look in-game...but thats not my favorite.
People who have watched it more than me says there is 14 outfits :P

However, the other link at justintv the guy plays the entire game, so cutscenes and all will be there, so heavy spoilers for sure...but I mute the volume and change window when there is a cutscene.

By next week when the game is out I have probably forgotten all the level designs I have seen, the levels are too long...which is good if you enjoy the game, longer gameplay time.

GT review: 6.9
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39955.html

GT said sound issues aye...well they were clearly playing the 360 version and the 360 does have sound glitches, and it's stupid of them to not say which version they played when that happened, but rather just hack down the title itself, clever. :S

In the demo on the 360, there was sound glitches, while on PS3 there werent any.

One of my friends played the 360 version (got it early, damn him) and he said if you want to take your time and explore for stuff while playing it, it takes around 10-12 hours or so...and of course there is replayabiltiy to go back for finding the rest and to max out the character and just having fun.

Gamespot: 7.5

Gamespot says one of the problems was the Force Grip had issues...really? I didn't have any issues with the direction or targeting in the demo and i didn't even get frustuated...maybe the first 20 minutes when i first started playing it...but that was obviously, well my first time.
But when I did learn it, I haven't had a problem ever since.

Ah well, I am gonna get my game this friday so whatever at the reviews, and my friend said if you love Star Wars and really liked the demo, you gonna love the game.
Good thing i loved the gameplay in the demo, and from the impressions my friend told me, I am probably gonna have a blast.

Sath just like Too Human the reviewers are not really feeling the game as a whole, that dose not mean there wrong or that there are issues with one version of the game and not the other, this game looks like it will be nothing more than an average experience, but for me as a SW fan i will be buying it regardless.

DC i know what you mean, but when they don't adress which version they played when they say the problems, people get the feeling its on both versions and giving out wrong information.

But I love SW, and love how the demo played out and saw that live stream video how the later force powers gets, looks very cool.

And considering me and my friend are into 3rd person action games alot he knows what I like otherwise he would say its not as good...but he said once you max out the gameplay changes and you feel badass...so I said cool I will get it then.

I just watch video reviews as extra bonus information to know what I am getting myself into before getting a game (if I am getting it of course) so I am aware of it.

I love SW alot and I love 3rd person action games, this is my best bet until hopefully future projects that they do they add more and cooler stuff.

I am just jealous that people in US got the game like 1 week before the release date while us Europeans have to wait even a few days more :(

I got the video getting freeze a few seconds while the sound was still playing and that was within the cutscenes in the demo on the 360, not during gameplay.

Really?

Didn't the video freeze in the cutscene and then play while the sound was ahead of the vido like by 2-3 seconds? odd.

I know many people had this issue with the demo on the 360.

Even though I downloaded the demo like 2-3 times just to make sure I downloaded it correctly.

Some people who have purchased the game says that they didn't come to any sound glitches in the game.

I guess I will find out on friday.

And here is a surprise...Starkiller fights a unexpected Sith Lord, fans favorite! (best one yet)

PS. There are no cutscenes or anything, just the fight, so watch it on your own will, doesn't spoil the game though!

http://gamecinemahd.com/player~f=18593

LucasArts...DLC for that character being playable!

PS. I think they were playing it on easy or medium difficaulty.
