I really hope this is good and until dawn wasn't just a fluke. Their last 2 games have not been great.

I find it Interesting that out of the millions of gamers on youtube, no one was able to spot a deference in the switch to UE4 with their games before. Hidden agenda was filled with praise of "thought to be" Decima engine graphics. It wasn't until UE4 was mentioned that recent opinions changed with it's mo-cap translation. in-spite of Supermassive using UE4 and the same equipment for the past 3 years now.

From what i can tell, Having spent time viewing their previous mo-cap back to back, leading up to Dark Pictures. not much is different. the interesting factor to point is that the audio and frame rate are connected to the lip sync. the audio is synced to below 30fps. which is pretty common for European video recording. 
Until Dawn Audio and mo-cap also syncs at lower frame-rate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJMq_2jlpK0

A second opinion (from a friend that owns the game) also says If the frame rate in Dark Pictures plays closer to the rate of Until Dawn it will feel a lot like it. I guess that might be the better answer.

i guess some gamers have forgotten. not all of Until Dawn's animations were perfect either.

it's present in all of their games. the lighting and character detail is better in Dark Pictures no doubt.   
had not UE4 and other platforms been listed by supermasive, fans would have looked at Dark Pictures as a upgrade spin-off to Until Dawn. just read the comments to hidden agenda....

what the hell is going on with the sound? The voices don’t sound like they’re in the environments they’re supposes to be in acoustically. It’s all really flat like they’ve just used it raw out of the sound booth. I’m going to assume it’s just early footage?
