Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

Since 5768 DaysI talked to the 'on-site' Microsoft representative there about some of the issues, here's a rundown of some of the interesting things he said:
1. In the family/friend circle, concurrent play is allowed on the same game. Say I get battlefield 4 and put it in my share. 1 person can play it with me, single player and/or multiplayer.
2. The other 9 people no longer have access to my shared library until that person is done playing.
3. Every person within the group can make their shared games available, so if 5 people in the group buy battlefield 4, the other 5 can play concurrently through other 'shared libraries' in the group. This way, everyone gets to play.
4. (this one tidbit was REALLY interesting) Let's say you have battlefield 4 in your family share circle, and you pick up halo 5 when it drops. no one in that circle is really interested at all in that game. you can have OTHER circles that you can share games with. You CANNOT have the same game in multiple circles, however. So if you put Halo 5 in one, it cannot be in another unless you remove it from that circle. No word on how many circles you can have, however.
5. The trade-off with this system, as I know a lot of people on GAF were saying there HAD to be one, is already known. It's the 24-hour check. In order to make sure that this system isn't exploitable, they needed a way to ensure that games weren't being passed around physically to be pirated/exploited. So that's the trade-off, to get this type of sharing system between friends/family and keep devs/pubs happy.
There were other things, but I got stuck in traffic and this is all that I one-noted. If I explained something in a way that you don't get, I'll try to rephrase it for you. I'm paraphrasing most of this because our conversation was probably 20 minutes and I had to go through MULTIPLE scenarios and analogies to get exact info from him.
I'm still looking forward to Major Nelson laying it out in plain english, but there were some good tidbits. This is what the Microsoft stores are being trained with from the reps, so take that as you will.

Since 7447 DaysPS4 will do the same thing so its not an advantage per se, but it sure is a good feature in general.

Since 7447 DaysHow it works is like this...
Your friend gives you his/her email and password (they can change the password to something else for you to use) and then you create a new account just like their name and then log in to their account, go to PSN history list and you can download anything (some are locked, not sure how to check if they arent) you want from that list.
You just tell your friend when you sign back to your own account that you are out of their account so they can change their password again to their default and log in back as usual and then when DL and install is done in your HDD you can play it.
But like Xbox, you must have their account on your friendlist for it to work since they are the original owner.
Like I said, it is a workaround feature it wasent official thats why its so all over the place for doing this.
I did this with Raptor when he had a Ps3, he took Crysis and Borderlands from me and another friend took other games.

Since 5768 DaysI also assume there will be a check out type system that will inform you if a share is in use or not.

If it wasent legal Sony would have shut down the feature completely, but considering they went from 5 users to 2 (including you) means Sony is okay with it.
I do hope for Ps4 they do it more open, safe and into an actual feature.
Since 6106 DaysWe’re focusing on fun and style over realism. The visuals represent what Insomniac does best – over-the-top, exaggerated, colorful style. And that style is driven by the game’s story theme of freedom and self-expression. This is us truly enjoying the chance to shoot expectations in the head, to be different, to deliver on the brash and irreverent tone that’s on display in our reveal trailer.
Since 7447 DaysIs that why they kept their Insominac tradition with Fuse?

I actually surprised myself of how unloyal I am to Microsoft. Even though the Xbox has been my gaming platform of choice for these two generations, it didn't take much for me to abandon them. This is because I can't get over that 24 hour check. I just can't deal with it. My mobile internet could probably handle it, but the reasoning behind that policy just doesn't fly with me.
I was ready to abandon the whole next generation. Thinking that the old games and maybe handheld consoles could suffice. And, Wii U is not totally out of the picture yet. Though it is hard for me to consider it as a next generation hardware.
I still don't have any hurry for the next generation. But fortunately Sony is also now at least trying to keep the physical media alive. Or at least how owning a physical media is perceived. From the Golden Days of Sega I have been anti-Sony. But I am now realising that maybe I was actually more against those people that jumped onboard of Sony (because they apparently were enticed by the brand) than Sony itself. People just didn't give Sega the chance that it deserved.

Imagine a game where the experience can constantly change, and is influenced by its community of players. With “Sunset Overdrive” we aspire to redefine “agility” as we listen to feedback players give us while playing the game and then respond with meaningful content - fast. In particular our goal is to maintain an ongoing 2-way dialogue with our community.
Don’t like something? Tell us. Got an idea for something cool in the game? Speak up! We’re building systems to support rapid content updates. I'm talking about pop culturally relevant content like memes and social commentary, new weapons, new characters, and more. And because “Sunset Overdrive” is a stylized, satirical game we’re not limited by some strict idea of what’s “appropriate”.

They should stick to the style that suits them best, and pure shooters isn't it. Sunset Overdrive has Insomniac written all over it. Now it's a matter of following through and executing. If they simply stay true to the feeling and vibe in that trailer I'll already be a happy camper, especially if they capture some of the wackier potential gameplay features.
